Problems with Steam

Hey, so I'm trying to buy the Half Life: Complete Pack for $49.99 on Steam and it's refusing to work!!!

I keep getting error messages like this " There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance " and this " An unexpected error has occured, please contact Steam Support ".

Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem, I tried contacting Steam but the haven't replied to me and it's been 3 days. I've purchased other items but for some reason my credit card is just getting declined, I've contacted my credit card company and it seems they haven't even heard from Steam.

Again, if anyone knows a solution could the please reply to me.

Verify you've entered your details correctly, and double check you have sufficient funds in your bank account.

Sometimes Steam's servers can become a little strained (I've had that 'error initializing or updating your transaction' problem in the past when there has been a popular deal on at the time). I'd recommend simply trying to purchase every half-hour until it works.

 
I have now been trying for the last 4 hours, both adding funds to my wallet and buying the game itself. I'm pretty sure I've just been put on their " insta-block that guy " list. I'll try again tomorrow. I don't want to hate Steam but it's Valve's fault.

 
I'm not sure if this will make a difference, but are you trying to order it through your browser logged in to Steampowered.com, or are you trying to order it through Steam itself?

 
I had this problem as well. The only really solution is to wait a few days before retrying the transaction. Though I was using PayPal at the time.

Waiting a few days might not be a viable option for someone trying to cash in on a deal that will only last the weekend.

This. Sometimes it won't let me order from one, but will from the other.

 
i dont have a problem with steam...STEAM HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME XD jk actually

about your problem,most likely steam have a pre-set ammount of sells before shutting their own servers to prevent you from enjoying the promotion...EVIL

Yeah.. except I wasn't trying to get one of the specials, I was just trying to get the HL1 pack
