Mudrunner

It's more of a tech demo than a game, but the tech is really impressive. If it appeals to your particular brand of autism, you might love it, otherwise kinda forgettable.

Like how Spintires is a tech demo, this is too. But really this is just a by-product of some weird copyright status and disagreements in the game studio that made Spintires. That's what I remember it being anyways, might be wrong. Interesting if you like driving trucks with logs in mud. (Hence the name.) Really more like a graphically updated Spintires, along with some minor gameplay tweaks. I don't exactly know how to feel about it considering it barely stayed relevant long enough before they announced a sequel to it. I give it a Love/Hate relationship.

The guys above me are absolutely right about all the disadvantages, but I got totally addicted to the original "spintires" a couple of years back, and I don't regret it. Watching those huge rigs tumbling about in the mud, it's a beautiful game.

It's very slow and methodical gameplay. Great for people who love technical sim games. It lends itself very well to listening to music or an audiobook while playing. Also you can totally play this without a steering wheel.

I'm pretty sure spintires has a free demo somewhere so you can always check it out free and see if you like it.

If not mistaken looking at screenshots, in re-release instead of real soviet trucks and cars they made just "imagine cars" like in gta, probably to avoid licensing.
