Are there any closet exobiologists lurking on the forum? If so, then this is the thread for you!

In this game we each take turns to briefly describe a race of aliens, using a picture provided by the previous poster and four stock questions and a miscellaneous question of the users choosing. The rules are pretty simple, all you need is take flight on the rainbow coloured wings of imagination! :3

• First things first, using the image and the five questions provided by the user above you, describe the alien species by species name, planet name, kingdom of life/classification, personality and an extra question of their choosing (feel free to copy n' paste the format for the examples I've posted below)
  
• Now you need post a picture of an alien creature. Where you source the image from is entirely up to you, don't limit yourself to sci-fi alone! Consider fantasy art, modern and/or abstract art, memes, even images of real life animals provided they are unusual/obscure enough. Some people look odd enough to warrant being alien species in their own right!
  
• Next, provide a misc. question about this imaginary alien species for the next poster to answer alongside the four aforementioned stock questions, preferably questions that can fulfilled in a sentence or less. Exactly what you ask is (once again) up to you. Ask about the species diet, lifestyle, culture, language, preferred brand of abrasive cleaner, etc. Feel free to steal other users ideas for questions and answers
  
• Your part is now over. The next poster must posit names/answers for all the criteria for your chosen picture. After they are finished doing that, they should start the process again by posting their own picture and the four stock/one misc question for the next poster
  
• Feel free to take this game as seriously or as light-heartedly as you like

Personality: Feral, seeks dead bodies and appendages for rotting flesh to eat, and to increase motile speed. (emulates muscles)

How do they communicate?: Feral, uncommunicative. Makes a sound like a grunt mixed with the death cries of a hundred birds.

Species: Weexoky Kin

Planet: Aurosynk, a world with a dense syrupy atmosphere and lifeforms that move through it like water.

Classification: Exoskeletal Vertebrate

Personality: Rather friendly, avid fans of tabletop wargames, sometimes get grumpy when thirsty

Technological advancement level: Until recently the Weexoky Kin were at a late 20th-century Terran stage of technology (roughly equivalent to the 1980's/1990's) but due to unforseen and unsanctioned contact with alien races, the species agreed to an alliance with the federation to protect themselves against less benevolent forces in the universe.

What do they eat? It's a tree, just because it looks like it has a human face and blows bubbles, doesn't mean it's anything but a normal tree. Seriously, they eat what a normal tree eats.

Planet: Anomaly #BE56L, a vast floating mass of space-borne oxygenated soap.

Classification: Aurolimus ("flying slime mould")

Personality: Simultaneously over friendly and alarmingly panicky.

How do they reproduce? Yeebelf (singular, see below) pops upon physically contacting another life form. The liquid molecules of it's structure is absorbed into the pores of the contactee's skin, who eventually sweat out innumerable miniature clones of the original instance of Yeebelf, which eventually expand and grow to the size of the adult Yeebelf. All individual "Yeebelf's" are in fact the same multitudinous individual copied innumerable times, so in a sense Yeebelf isn't a species, but a multi-bodied unique personality.

Species: P-7000 Precision Handler, A close relative of the Power Loader species.

Planet: Originally from the factory-planet WeylandC-26, now scattered across the inhabited universe.

Classification: Sentient powered exoskeleton

Personality: Unlike its unthinking P-5000 'Power Loader' brethren, the Precision Handler is capable of operating autonomously. Stated by the company as having a 'calm and relaxed' demeanor, most P-7000 units are actually timid and overcautious, to the point where productivity is actually hindered. This is a result of a heavy handed approach to risk calculation, where tremendous self-doubt is simulated instead of actually calculating risk. A software patch is pending release, and most P-7000 are very worried that this will wipe out their consciousness.

Who (or what) created them? They are produced by Caterpillar Inc, which is owned by Weyland Corp.

Planet: Quwk, an ancient artificial woodland planet of unknown age and origins.

Classification: Necrotechnological Androsylvan

Personality: Fiercely territorial, competent military strategists, doily making is a favoured past time.

What is their society like?: Quwkoggen society centers around two overriding pursuits in line with their isolationist politics. Maintaining the integrity of their planetary systems borders, and simultaneously planting and cultivating the next generation of semi-robotic seedlings to bolster the ranks. Whilst not exactly hateful or even especially violent, they mistrust outsiders with an exception to those few species that deliver their arts and crafts magazine subscriptions.

Advice if encountered: Attempt to vacate the area as calmly and unassumingly as possible. Completely incapable of telling the difference between living creatures and machines. If it perceives you as malfunctioning or broken, it will attempt to "harvest" you for spare parts to fix itself. If possible, try and get two of them interested in each other. They will try and harvest each other and the commotion will draw any other Vultures in the area towards them providing you with a window to escape easier.

Species: Known only as The Jailers (real name unknown, species is not known to communicate at any perceivable level)

Planet: Unknown, possibly not in this dimension

Classification: Humanoid hulk

Personality: Although doesn't seem to communicate at any known level (is completely silent save for the rattling of its chains), is perceived to extremely intelligent, ruthless, and untiring.

Reason for cages: It seems to know where there is any lawbreaking in the galaxy and will stop at nothing to incarcerate the lawbreakers in its claw-made prisons. Or perhaps the prisons are made by other species. There is no place to hide that they will not find you. Not much is known about The Jailers beyond this, and even less is known about the fates of those that are incarcerated. They are never seen from again.

Planet: Greetliio

Classification: Post-Amphibious Lorisapien Humanoids

Personality: By human standards the bodily and facial expressions of Idichlugians denotes hostility, and the tone of their simultaneously croaking/squeaking speech comes across as rude and ill-mannered. Despite these unfortunate misunderstandings Idichlugians are a broadly courteous and unfailingly polite race, but a race forever cursed to be brushed-off as unpleasant whilst they ask if visiting aliens would like to sit down and have a hot drink.

What their homeworld looks like: Greetiio is a verdant and rather sodden world of marshland with varying levels of watery depths, but never reaching anything in size or scope of true oceans or lakes. In lieu of tree's are a multitudinous species of giant root vegetables and towering brassica-type plants (similar to Terran cabbages) that congregate into immense forests, which goes some way to draining the planets reserves of water, hence the aforementioned lack of seas or other large aqueous bodies.

Species: Melanocetus sapiens

Planet: Neopterygius IV

Classification: Sapient Anglerfish

Personality: The above, being an actual photo of the species, M. sapiens is somehow a two-dimensional being and they feed on other two-dimensional species. They are notably ill-tempered in the second dimension only. Those species that can perceive three dimension find them to be harmless because they can just step aside from this strange alien race. This makes them more ill-tempered in the second dimension due to M. sapiens's inability to perceive the third dimension so their prey just "wink" out of existence to them. Beyond that, they are as harmless to three dimensional beings as three dimension beings are to four dimensional beings--and so forth. Their species is hierarchical, with what appears to be a king and queen who have special coloration to distinguish themselves.

How does this species birth its young?: As two-dimensional beings, three-dimensional beings are able to witness the mating and birthing process in toto, as the young grow inside of "female" of the species. They number in the hundreds and continue to grow until the body of the "female" cannot stretch any more and the skin bursts open, killing the "female" in the process.

(Man, my descriptions are DARK! How about a lighthearted one from me?)

Species: Frickle

Planet: Unknown, but never seen outside the D'eeik ("D-veek") system. Speculation heads towards a forest dwarf planet that was only ever named D-13.

Classification: Disaster-status pest.

Personality: Records recovered from a deserted facility indicate that the Frickle is a genetic coincidence: many traits are shared by the infamous Tribble of Iota Geminorum IV, despite existing on the opposite end of the galactic sector. They are driven by an urge to consume resources, and reproduce quickly. Frickles have evolved a higher-form of being than the Tribbles, and are able to navigate obstacles within range of their 10-inch size. It is suggested that a resource vessel brought a number of them back from the initial exploration of D-13. The Frickles learned to take advantage of the colonists' adoration of their cute appearance, and integrated into the colonies. The colonies did not anticipate their appetite, nor their breeding speed - speed up by the richness of imported colonial food. There was a population explosion, and despite culling attempts, the Frickles exhausted almost every supply depot in the system.

A temporary colony has been set up on a previously untouched moon, and most of the system's human population has been evacuated. The system itself is currently under quarantine, with vigorous checks on any craft that pass through the threshold.

How does this species birth its young?: Lab-testing shows Frickles reproduce only once, when they have consumed a certain level of nutrients. They then 'malt' a special ball of fur that quickly rolls to the nearest sheltered space, where it expands into a 5-inch 'Fricklet'. It soon begins the same hunt for food as its 'parent'. It usually takes one minute from malting for this to complete.

Species: J'lll'vxu

Planet: An unnamed planet covered in metallic temperature regulating snow-like substance that the J'lll'vxu never refer to by name. For the sake of conveniance the Intergalactic Federation labels it Tau-@9705.

Classification: Sentient Texture

Personality: Due to the bizarre non-organic non-objective (at least in terms of being an individual lifeform as most species understand it) nature of the J'lll'vxu, any kind of personality or individuality among instances of this species are difficult for other alien outsiders to comprehend. Remarkably passive (possibly due to the near impossibility of an individuals destruction) and accommodating, the J'lll'vxu are a species given to almost endless endevours involving informational archiving. Recreational activities include amalgamating themselves with novel (and preferably rough) textures, as well as scouring surfaces clean.

How to remove: Just ask them politely. They are sticklers for good manners.

Planet: Vulpes Major

Classification: Host organism

Personality: At birth, they are groomed by the adults of their species to become host organisms for a variety of other organisms. At the age of maturity, they begin to excrete pheremones that attract other organisms to begin to nest and live within the body of the F. transitus. It provides food for the "parasite" organisms and the "parasites" provide protection from other predators.

A surprising fact about this species:The human subject showed no signs of extreme behaviour, so it is thought that the Hybrid's dangerous nature comes from the earthworm's genes. The hybrid was eventually defeated and consumed by a giant flock of birds - at the cost of two cities - and further study of worms continues.

Planet: Anvobaaw, a planet largely composed of rapidly generating electrically charged minerals and home to numerous and rapacious boneless animals.

Classification: Electrolapivore Mollusc

Personality: Extremely busy and energetic, practical and unimaginative, stubbornly refuse to take breaks or cease working unless something scares them. Almost universally afraid of (to the point of superstition) Anvobaaw's smallest and most rapidly orbiting moon Anvobaaw VI, a relatively miniscule orange gas planet that streaks across Anvobaaw's opalescent sky in a matter of minutes.

Feeding habits: Stortooq are like most electrolapivorous lifeforms on the planet, in that they busily graze the surface of near constant growth of electrically imbued fragmentary minerals that generate within and around the edges of great fissures in the planet's surface. Being sentient however, the Stortooq have a strong communal mentality and carefully hedge prime fissures away from overtly rapacious species and even cultivate the growth of differing varieties of charged substances.
