If you weren't born in your country...

...where would you want to be born actually?

Give some reasons and insights

I was born in Ukraine but if I was born again I would still pick Ukraine ,

but then if I was born again I would love to be born in Sweden, love the law, european culture and nature there. I would be proud of the music of sweden, Ikea , Meatballs and foorball and video gaming competitiveness. Especially the youth culture is doing some crazy talented things there.

And the history of Sweden is very interesting.

Like you I can't think of anywhere I'd rather have been born than the place where I was, but there are a lot of places that would be great to visit. Austria, Puerto Rico, New Zealand are places specifically family and friends have been to and come back from with great stories.

Canada, Sweden, Denmark or the United States. But I was born in the United States, so....

I've visited Canada and it was pretty neat. Sweden and Denmark also sound awesome but I've never been there.

Actually I've lived in Canada (Hence my pretty good english).... I've found it.... horrible, completely the opposite of what I was used to, except that socialistic system, the very depressing atmosphere (No spring just winter and summer and rain) without any cultural memorials didn't help. Finally People I've met especially, aren't open-minded at all. Didn't agree with a lot laws, moved back to Ukraine.

But that's me speaking and I lived only in Toronto, maybe I just hated the city.

Canada. Not too hot, but civilized, and there is even an aqequate health care system, which is a lot better than the one in the US.

Russia, always liked the cold, snow, language, history and culture. I bet if i were born there, i would wish to be Australian though...

Finland, its cold like Sweden, has saunas evrywhere and the people ive met from there have allways been friendly.

Italy, a village in the hills where all those houses look like they're piled on top of the hill. They're so boss.

But I like the States too; born in Jersey, lived there for half my life and have lived my other half here in Maine. Prolly the rest of my life too; loves it.

also italy. i have 1/4 of my family there, being the now impoverished dukes of Montone. fuck you, Mussolini.

-rep for that.

Russia or Norway. (I like cold weather, and I like the history of both. [especially the amount I would have had to live through])

I really don't consider it the USA that I was born in, so much as I was born in southeast South Dakota. (-40°F without windchill in the winter is not uncommon, and 110°F in the summer with 90-100% humidity is very common)

Which is why when people get sick, and no one else can cure them, they get on a plane to Canada.

Oh, wait, that's the US that they go to. Even Canadians who can, come here. (Like former Canadian Cabinet member Belinda Stronach) Wonder why that is?

Americans have a higher survival rate than any other country on earth for 13 out of 16 of the most common cancers.

Might have something to do with the fact that there are more MRI machines in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA than there are in all of Canada.

Anyway, I'd pick Leichtenstein. It seems like a small country I could take over fairly easily. The US is just too damn big for conquest, at least by somone as lazy as I am.

Why not try Monaco then? The whole country has a population of 30.000 and people will understand your english better

Doom, I'll meet you in Monaco... We can take over faster if there are two of us.

I'll help take over, then just use some of the treasury to buy a kick-ass gaming computer, a few hundred Tombstone pizzas each month, a couple hundred thousand cans of Mt. Dew Livewire every year, and a state of the art internet connection. I'll stay out of your way after that.

All this talk of taking over a country, i think we go back to Canada, large uranium desposits and close to a certain superpower.
