Source Filmmaker is a program created by Valve to make mainly the tf2 trailers, for instance:

That program never was released by Valve, but if the internets can leak the "meet the spy" trailer then for sure they would put their filthy hands on this program,it is possible to find it on a barely legal Tf2 beta,it seems to be a really useful feature for people who make movies and stuff, again,im not sure if it is legal or illegal, since valve doesnt mention it,feel free to talk about it.

BTW,heres some vids made by some guys using the source filmmaker:

Meet the Spy was leaked by Valve almost on purpose, in the public version of the video (the one released oficially and not the one that got leaked) you can see a ''LEAKED VIDEO'' sigh in the alarm system... I think it was becuase they couldn't set the video as ''private'' and some people managed to watch it and download it before Valve hid it...

edit: typo

As long as no one posts any links to illegal software or hints at where to get it, discussing it is probably fine.

I believe Valve are planning to release the Source Film Maker at some point anyway, and whilst it is possible to make stuff with the leaked version, I've heard it's very buggy and difficult to make good use of. In my opinion it's best to just wait for them to release it properly, for free.

I hope Ross Scott will be using it if it's released.

I think that Valve have said they'll release Source Filmmaker after the last Meet the Team vid is out. Considering that Meet the Medic is just about done, maybe Ross will catch a break if the Pyro decides to introduce himself sometime soon.

I have my fingers crossed about that.
