Disastrous "Resonance Cascades" in the economy

We are currently still reeling from the effects of our economic collapse, issues from global warming are going to be getting steadily more serious, as we saw from the floods in Pakistan recently, oil issues will no doubt start cropping up more and more....this is the thing, these issues aren't occurring in isolation, they feed off of each other, they have mounting effects

What are some of the more worrying interactions between the severe potential crises we face? Take food issues-flooding or droughts could combine with higher fuel prices to effect starvation and war in poor areas of Africa, leaning to a disruption in oil supplies that effects the stock market.

 
Hm. Global warming and Peak Oil, leads to attempts to remedy the problems using biofuels, leads to higher food prices plus soil depletion plus fertilizer runoff poisoning the sea?

Economic collapse leads to stimulus packages leads to printing oodles of money leads to heavy inflation leads to economic collapse?

 
Yeah, that sound about right.

We seem to be heading for another big recession, the markets are all crashing this week.

 
Anybody who passed Macroeconomics 101 could have seen that coming.

Almost makes you wonder why the current crop of leaders didn't.

I think they do but during such depressions it is their chance to steal money.... :/...
