Deus Ex Sig

Well, I haven't really made anything in a while and I wanted to try something new. Not sure how well I pulled this off. May just be my harsh self-criticism but there are aspects I don't like. But that's the same for all my work.

Anywho...

I think I'll use it anyways since, well lets face it. The steam profile banner isn't very artistically creative.

hey it doesn't suck, i can't even use photoshop..mostly because i don't have it, but yea...

Well, I'm saying there are parts I don't like. The blurred hand is one but there's nothing I can do about that since the render I used had the hand blurred to begin with (but was still by far the best sig worthy render)

And I may need to work on the dissolving technique some as well. But truth be told, that's the "something new" I was trying out so I got an excuse for that looking a lil funny.

ah, oh well. i'll probably get it once i get financial aid sorted out...

$400?!!? never. mind. i guess i'm not getting it. o.O

A free alternative to Photoshop is a handy editor called the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's got quite a lot of features, most of which I myself have never used because I'm not an artist. It supports custom-made plugins and so on.

On a more on-topic note, that signature looks pretty cool. Was it originally from a screencap from the E3 trailer? It looks familiar.

I just recently installed it, and I'm trying to find out a way to convert videos to .GIF files with it.

When I wanted to make a gif from a video file, I used Media-Player-Classic to go through it frame-by-frame and doing file > Save Image, then stringing it all together in the Gimp. This took a while and a fair bit of effort but I think it was worth it (I made a couple of avatars).

Not exactly sure, actually.

Got it from Planet Renders so it could be from anything.

Not the best at cutting out images myself so I usually check there for anything usable.

Well glad to see some people like it.

I don't use brushes.

Either way I'm thinking of removing the dissolve effect. Not working out. Maybe I'll add some things as well.

Edit:

Version 2

I'm personally happier with this one.

Yes it's CS5 and nope. not free. Quite expensive without the student discount, actually.
Yeah, student discount is awesome, especially mine... It's called 'Free Torrents', and I think it's available to all students worldwide...

It's not Photoshop, but it's served us well enough.

Yet you have to edit each of your posts twice... You're spending too much time trying to disagree with the truth: I am always right.
