Anyone else interested in this game? it wasn't on my radar until that recent trailer, but it looks very interesting and I must admit that the trailer music is stuck in my head.

 
I'm not quite sold on this one. The more I hear about it, the more it seems like a slower version of Left 4 Dead...and what I find most fun about that series is the frantic pace.

First-person melee combat, though, that's cool.

 
It looks amazing and I want it. Open world zombie survival with RPG elements, first person shooter, heavy emphasis on melee weaponry, and co-op? Sounds like a brilliant game. I'm just a bit concerned regarding the story, if there will be any.

Ok i bought this game last month made it to the second act Zombies are tough as nail they will throw crap at you, and will kill you in an instant.

My thoughts this game is strictly Co-Op and playing it alone will just drain you of money.

Weapons wear out after some use and can even break leaving you running like a kid from a playground fight after you threw a punch and the bully felt nothing.

Now anyone on Xbox to help me out? Zombies keep taking my lunch money.

 
I saw a couple of reviews and quickly decided it was not my thing. Gorgeous graphics and all but the gameplay seems way too repetitive and the plot seems way too thin and contrived. I've spent my money on other games instead.

Its got a ranking system in it, its got a skill tree like Borderlands. (Using Borderlands and Dead Island in the same post should be against the law) you get main story quest and side quest such as "Clear a mans home of looters". It gets old but there is always players and tonight ill delete my save game and start over, people can join in your gameplay. But I am stuck with it so now I have gotta beat it

When I saw the amazing teaser(doesn't matter whether the game is bad or not, the trailer is still great) for this I thought this would be a pretty cool game. But I heard the story isn't as important as I thought it was and I didn't care to much for the gameplay to begin with.

 
I mean its all there for a great game but it just wasnt done right. The engine is good graphics are good but the gameplay and making you play with other people is annoying its either play alone and die alot of play with someone and not die at all.

Borderlands is actually a fun game because of all the guns you have in it. Dead Island barely has guns. I dunno about you but I don't want to fight a horde of zombies armed with a kitchen knife. That's not my idea of fun.

 
I assume you're talking about Borderlands then and not Dead Island.

Seriously, it's just not my cup of tea. I love zombie games but this is not my idea of a good one.
