In my honest opinion, Cyh's Chell's Mind is the only series that ever equalled Ross in terms of writing quality. It's crying shame (no pun intended) that the series was never completed.

Anybody else think Barney's Mind kinda sucked?

While I can agree with the general sentiment, I always thought it was a good fit because Barney is much more of a regular-dude type than Freeman. Those simple phrases weren't witty but they fit his character perfectly. You can even think of Barney's Mind as a perfect parallel to Blue Shift, a worthwhile addition that's not quite up to scratch with the other entries.

I have a lot of respect for Ian for bringing all the big fan Mind series together, being one of the first Mind spinoffs, as well as how he properly finished Barney's Mind, but I'll readily echo the sentiments of people that it was pretty mid/meh compared to Freeman's Mind and Shephard's Mind. That said, I have nothing but fondness for the multi-part final episode and the shift into Microsoft Flight Simulator. Still lives rent-free in my head to this day.
Honestly, Shephard's Mind is the only Mind series spinoff I readily come back to. (Of particular note, I was never too fond of Felix's Mind, and not even for the tired gag of Felix insisting he wasn't Gordon. I didn't like the constant modern pop culture references he included as well as how he really couldn't decide on a tone for a while. The blood sniper bullet gut removal comes to mind.)
