im wondering what to expect...

i'm buying "flight simulator x" for my toshiba laptop, it has factory specs, will the game run right? is it a good game?

any additional info, as always, ill appreciate.

 

if you need any more info on the laptop though just tell me where to look for the info and ill tell you, i think its home premium? windows 7 os. i dont know i just want to know if the game will even run on this thing.

 

p.s my desktop is a virus riddled stone-age antiquated pile of aluminum, so i doubt it'll even run the game. lol

im hoping its a good game cause i have a large passion for flight, and i've heard good things so far.

If you're using Windows 7:

1. Click the "Start" orb.

2. Select "Control Panel"

3. If your "View by" at the top right of the window is "Category", click "Category" and select either "Large icons" or "Small icons". If you're already on Large icons or Small icons, proceed to step 4.

4. Select "System"

5. Post "Processor", "Installed memory (RAM)" and "System type" as a reply here. Also, post "Windows edition" information.

I disagree, I believe the determining factors are (~40%) Processor, (~40%) Graphics Card and (~9 %) Ram Memory. (~1 % rest).

You're probly going to have trouble running any serious games at above minimum quality... You're going to need more RAM and either overclock your video card by a lot, or upgrade that too.

 

Processor should be ok.

You really need to learn more about game requirements. Processor requirements rarely truly affect the gaming experience unless you have a truly badass video card and lots of fast RAM. The GFX card is the bottleneck 99.9% of the time.

i dont know what overclock means but i dont think running it on minimum should be too much of a loss, the ram isnt going to be a problem, and i heard messing with laptops is a pain in the ass. yea i mostly wanted to know if the damn thing will run, im fairly confident now that it will, now i just need to read reviews to find out if its worth the money, thanks to all who replied.
