I don't say "howdy." I'm from Georgia, not Texas in the 19th century.

 

My voice is also a lot drier than that guy's.

 

His voice, as well as his accent to an extent, does sound a LOT like a soccer coach I had in middle school, who is also from the South.

i don't mind redneck accents, it's some stereotypical redneck behaviors i find displeasing, some of which I've found true(a lot of rednecks here in PA). most here listen to rap, hate African Americans, act tough, and pick a fight for no good reasons. having one of these isn't so bad, besides the racism bit, but all these together...then again most people here are like that who aren't rednecks...holy shit...this state sucks!

I believe New Mexico actually is part of the South, but people usually consider the South to be areas like Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Texas, etc.
