well, now that TF2 is free, millions of people will be playing it. and people will get bored of it at some point. do you guys think the masses will start making and/or downloading massively mods for tf2? like BG2, Dystopia, WW1 source (revive it, fuck you potteh), Fortress Forever, Fist Full of Frags, etc.

Likely because the purchase of new TF2 copies had slowed down enough that Valve decided it was time allow everyone to play it for free with some limits till they purchased in the Mann Co. Store thus increase profit from TF@ by way of micro-trans.

take into account that whoever wanted to buy tf2 would have already bought it by now, that's why its free, to get more people interested in the game.
