Automat Kalashnikov 74. Reliable, simple, and soldier focused. M16 is good, and giving serious props to the design, but the AK74, when you absolutely positively have to kill every single mother fucker in the room, accept no substitutes.

As awesome as revolvers are; a wonder nine would probably be much more practical in the modern world. Due to higher magazine capacity, faster rate of fire, shorter reload, etc.

Shotguns, because even though they are less practical, they can hit a target in several diffetent locations with one pull of the trigger, they can hit multiple targets at the same time, and it would be easier to react to a surprise attack, as you wouldn't have to be as accurate.

 

Longbows or crossbows?

Crossbows. They can go through two Saracens with one bolt. And require less training. And the Saracens don't use them.
