I love Ponies as much as the next guy but I get confuzzled when everyone changes their fricken name every 2 weeks. Also I don't like the whole using character names as usernames in general.

Same here. I haven't changed my forum name pretty much since I made it up, though I change between having Shiny Object be one word or not. I haven't even changed my avatar in over a year (not counting Santa hat).

But keeping ponies in the pony thread, coolest tumblr ever right here.

"Hey, everyone. I'm the guy that posted in the Best of 2011 thread earlier today with this comment only to receive a numerous amount of positive and friendly responses. I decided you guys deserved a fair shot due to everyone's nice comments and advice. Many of you suggested I started with the ninth episode as a starting point, the one about the zebra, so I did, and I gotta say...

I liked it.

My two favorite animated shows would have to be Futurama and Adventure Time. Both are zany, fun to look at, hilarious, and engaging. That's pretty much how I felt watching this episode. I love the art style and colorful characters. You can tell the production values and quality is top-notch; even someone who hated the show can't deny that. However, I was actually drawn in, and I plan on watching more episodes.

Anyway, my concern is that because many of you suggested I start with this episode because it's a good intro for new viewers, does that mean the other episodes aren't...as good? I'm sure the show is great overall to garner such a following, but I just want to know why the ninth episode was recommended as a good starting point. If someone could lay my fears to rest, I'd appreciate it.

I'll just say this before I bore you all: Thank you to those who responded to my original post in the Best of 2011 thread for being kind in your comments and offering me information about how I can start watching and what you're all about. I could tell from the get-go you guys were a fantastic community, so I look forward to hanging around and giving the show more of a shot. I'm off to download season one. Thanks again!

UPDATE: Oh gosh, guys. I went upstairs to make some toast and looked in the cupboard to find this. My mom must buy them for the little girl she babysits on Wednesdays. Sorry, Mom. I'm eatin' 'em!

UPDATE 2: Omg! Someone bought me a month of Reddit Gold! I don't even know what to say! I've never received RG before so I don't even know how to figure out who gave it to me or what to do with it! If whoever sent it to me could PM me or post here so I can properly thank you, I'd appreciate it. Thanks so much, whoever you are! What a great community.

UPDATE 3: WHOEVER GAVE ME THE REDDIT GOLD BETTER COME FORWARD. I WANT TO THANK YOU, YOU JERK. "
