She was gone for a big chunk of it when they were looking for her, we didn't get to see her actually do any rodeoing past the opening, and she was completely out of character to an almost Discord-Applejack extent.

 

Not a very good Applejack episode, really more of a mane 6 episode.

True, but she did something secretive for good cause. Sure she should've told them she never won in the first place, but she felt so bad she's been working at the cherry place just to make up the money that she said she'd get for Ponyville. So, if nothing else, her heart was in the right place.

 

Then again, I suppose you could twist that around and say she only did that so people would think she's awesome at the rodeo, but I like to think she's a bigger pony than that.

Some guy just posted his reasoning for why it was an okay Applejack episode, saying she never lied, just avoided the truth. I guess that'll have to do.

 

And going back to Derpy for just a moment, I don't think I liked her voice,

Though, I do think that, for representing the element of HONESTY, Applejack does seem to bend the rules a little too much.

You guys remember how I was writing a fanfiction awhile ago? Ya, me neither. So here's something completely different.

I'm listening to Everfree Radio right now, and they bring up some good points about the last episode. They mention how Applebloom should have had a bigger role, considering how excited she was about her sister, and how Applejack would have been crushed about letting her down, and how she had just learned about how important it was to accept family no matter what.

 

They also brought up the idea that Derpy could be in "a very special episode." I'm not quite sure they could pull it off, and I don't know if it'd be a good idea to start with.

 

Oh, and they pointed out that Rainbow Dash was the only one who called her Derpy, and it is entirely possible that Rainbow Dash was calling her Derpy as a mean nickname (like Rainbow Crash), and that her name could still be Ditzy Doo. I choose not to believe that, but I'm sure it'll make some fan-fic writers happy.

I like Ditzy better honestly. Never read any Derpy fanfic but Ditzy is just a cool name.

Ignore the elements. They are only important for the first 2 episodes and after that they including their meaning seem to disappear until the next season.
