One of my favorite things about the current generation MLP is that the developers actually interact with the community. For example, this:

I must point out that Counter Strike and Day Of Defeat started out as mods.

... Team Fortress too.

 

The point is though to have great mods you have to have a great engine, community, developer relationship and game.

Valve makes the most out of mods while a lot of other companies don't even release the source code.

Actually I did know what this is.

I can't really watch through the entire thing, It's 22 minutes.

Edit: I watched through the entire thing, Allow me to write "derp" on my forehead and hit it against the wall.
