Watching Pokemon as a kid, I was a relentless Advancedshipper, and I never necessarily argued over which was better, I just stated my reasons for thinking AshxMay was better. When that series ended and Dawn came in (ugly little fuck ) I found Sonic X and started the Sonamy ship, but quickly came off that. Then, I found MLP, made my OC and shipped him with Fluttershy.

I mean, yes, here are some ideas: Alternate history where the pegasi, unicorns, and Earth Ponies from Hearth's Warming Eve really did go to War, Granny Smith recounting the war she witnessed as a child, or if you think muskets are modern weapons in equestria, you could have a violent retelling of the end of "Over a Barrel."

I don't really care what you do in your spare time as long as it's not hurting anyone. What you like isn't really my concern, so I'm not going to tell you what you should and shouldn't like. Shipping is fine, I just don't like reading unless it's physics, math or just that good a story.

Coming off that subject, I read a fanfic today, and I have to say, I don't dislike Rarity anymore. Shes not my favorite, but I don't hate her like I used to. Here's the fic, it's a little bit of a tearjerker.

EDIT: So, read the fan fic, and I loved it. It was really detailed, in character, didn't make me cry but I don't usually when reading. The only things I thought were wierd was Celestia's dismissal of Rarity's playground request. I dunno, it just didn't seem like something she'd do. Other than that though, I really really liked it.

Also, I avoid sad fics like the plague. I don't watch ponies to depress myself. Especially ones that involve death. I really do not need that. :/

Depends on the fic. I'm conflicted when it comes to fanon ponies. On the one hand, I'd like to keep my ponies...well, like in the show. On the other hand, I am so drawn in by the fanon (especially the creepiest and wierdest for reasons unknown even to me) that I cannot stop myself from reading. Though clop fics are out of the question. When you start making the ponies fuck, that's it I'm out.

I avoid romance involving fan-fictions in general unless they have a high rating, which then they have to pass the filter of my interests of characters, which are a limited variety.

 

This narrows down the reams of fictions out there to probably enough to count with a few pairs of hands out of the thousands that exist.
