The art style of FiM reminds me a lot of Powerpuff Girls. I like the art style, just not the show itself.

Yeah Lauren Faust was a fan of the originals when she was younger but when she was hired to make a new MLP series she found that the characters didn't live up to the ones she'd created as a child.
