Okay, so I'm liking this story, but the spelling errors all over the place force me to double-read a lot and that breaks the flow and immersive nature of the story. Irritation, man...

You are actually geting a fuck tun of plot, you just don't know it yet, but yes it will be a bit plotless (at least it seems plotless) for a bit, at that point kkat is still setting the stage with establishing places/events/relations/charicters/motivation and the like and is still detailing the rules of how some of the things work (like magic for example) all of it is still masterfully written and is well worth the read, but you are at low point at least untell ... It happend...

All these terminal transmissions are kind of giving me the plot in the future anyway. I'm already able to anticipate what's coming (I get that from my father. My foreshadowing abilities are more like 30/20 foresight...)

Yes and no. I thought the same way, and lot's of it is predictable, but there's a lot of the little stuff that isn't as predictable. Also the way they paint the future is in itself exciting.

 

Oh, and you want plot? Oh don't worry. You'll get plot. Lot's of plot.

Guys... I tried reading fanfics. You know, I'm a quite bookworm, but It seems like I don't like fan fiction at all. No matter how great and original it is. Just no.

However I know I should do it, at least read the most important ones. It's very hard for me to focus on reading such stories. A cartoon based esspecialy. Ponies are great to watch and draw, but I don't like this kind of atmosphere in books.

Anyway, I know there are millions of fanfics so far and I want to ask you guys... Is there any well writen fanfic, with good story and plot and interesting characters? Who is the best author? Are there any horror stories?

Fallout: Equestria by KKat is pretty much the single most highly regarded pony fic, but it's also like 50 chapters long and requires at least a little knowledge of Fallout. As for horror, there's cupcakes, apple family massacre, and rainbow factory, which are the most popular but mostly for being bad.

 

I've only read like 4 though, and 3 were Fo:E fics (one of which I wrote). I liked TtEoAP, which pokes fun of a lot of fan-fics, but to do so means it has to adopt a few.

 

I dunno, I've worked on more fics than I've read, and I've been suggested 5 times that much.

Most of the fics I've read have honestly been romance fics between various characters. Other than that, I've read a lot of FO:E and Cupcakes out of pure curiosity.
