I actually had the bulk of this done last Saturday, but was waiting on the final piece and then spent all week making final touches and trying to export the damn thing. I had it uploaded yesterday, but decided to wait until the day AFTER black mesa was released, Brony Dance Party's PMV was released, and the new episode of Gravity Falls was released.

1. A vlog would be a huge departure from my usual stuff, and could (maybe) lose me some subscribers. Wouldn't you think about unsubscribing if the guy you subbed to for doing one neat thing all the sudden started talking to the camera all boring-like? Notice how many people do vlogs on other channels, and how much lower that channel's sub count is.

 

2. I don't have anything to say, other than possibly another thank you milestone.

 

3. I don't own a camera and my mic is a lame gaming mic I never use.

 

4. I do want to do a vlog though. It sounds fun, just not the right thing to do now. I'll wait until I finish my next project (as suggested by a viewer, remaking the pony intro with gravity falls instead of vice-versa) then ask for suggestions.

 

5. I plugged you two for a reason. You are awesome. Don't stop being awesome. I was in your place not too long ago, all it takes is hard work and a bit of cleverness.

 

 

 

In a lot of ways this is kind of scary. I've got a very tiny bit of fame, I've got a lot of my minor heroes watching me, and I've got almost 250 subbers who I know so little about it's hard to figure out what they want me to do. The reason I am so vocal about taking suggestions is because I'm making this up as I go. I have no idea what they want of me, and chances are this next project will be what make people think whether or not they want to stay subscribed. There's the classic adage "do what you want, don't care about what others think," but what if what you want to do is make other people smile smile smile?

Also a quick suggestion stop trying to make them smile smile smile! If you do what you want and follow your own madness then you will find that there will always be people out there who will enjoy it, it may not be the same ones following you now but there will always be some one who loves your creation.

I actually took down my vlog because honestly it was fucking stupid. Besides the Gangnam Style dance. That was awesome.

 

However, I have decided to just take a week or two and just finish all the dumb videos I've started and then forgotten about (which is almost everything I've ever started). I'll just do 'em one after the other and then stagger the uploads.

When doing a vlog please follow these rules:

1. Only do it when you actually have something you want/need to share with people. Unless opening your mouth induces instant laughter in all people watching, vlogs without a point are boring as hell.

2. See rule 1.

3. Always follow rule 2.
