Well that satisfies my 34 hour sleep-deprived mind and heart. I just hate to see someone's spirit or friendship ruined by competition. What I said above, though it may have sounded stand-offish and angry (text and implications don't mix well,) it was really in the best intentions.

But yea guys, the only reason I ever got those views (which really isn't that many when you're talking about FiMFiction, honestly) is because the sight wasn't a hierarchy system. Seriously guys, what was once a good site with a great community is falling apart. Author's no longer read much of the work of other authors. Ever since the February Write Off, there have been an elite few authors who dominate all the views and followers on the site. When I initially posted Flash: Redemption's first couple chapters, one of them got over 700 views in the first few days. I flipped a shit. That was a huge upgrade from my 30 a day from FanFiction. Now, after I just uploaded chapter 8, I got a measely 16 views total until it fell to the back pages of the browser. I used to get useful comme ts and supportive feedback, now I just get a couple comments saying "Great chapter!" or "It's still alive!" which aren't very helpful. When I started at FiMFiction, I was joining a tightly knit community of friends and respectful neighbors. Now it's like a feudal system, with the noblemen getting all the wealth and us serfs and peasants have no hope for glory. So it's not your fault, it's the fault of a site corrupted by that dned write-off competition. It made the site competitive rather than communistic and a huge collective effort at a great work of art. So that's the big reason why I wanted to make sure you guys wren't getting like that, because I'd hate to see that happen to my friends.

Yeah, the site is kind of broken like that. Part of it is just that there are just so many stories, and that starting a new one will get you more views than continuing an old one. I have 3 friends with stories on there, and none have updated since June / a week or so after publishing. I'm just hoping we'll keep ours alive just with the good writing, big size, and actual updates. Also the compilation posts help, but not as much as I had hoped.

 

 

Anyway, I'm glad we've gotten over this whole competitive thing with Chuck and me.

Because Hergest Ridge felt like putting a full minute of song with no lyrics, and by that point I gave up on actually doing anything with it and just had her slamming her head into it. Though I liked how she gets her groove back as the music kicks in, I like the juxtaposition.

Nice, pretty clever, the keying is good but a bit off sometimes, it helps that it was such a long shot of her screaming. The CMC was what really made it work though.

 

I should really have more than one video under 15 seconds. I shall keep an open mind and consider doing such a thing, though hopefully nothing that would disappoint my subscribers. After all, I have a reputation as a PMV maker, not as a funny clip maker. Oh the dilemma.
