You know what else is almost upon us? Guild Wars 2. I'm am actually legitimately excited to see if any pony content is spawned from it.

They call me Snake. They call me Es Rake. They call me Srahkay. That's nahmaname. That's nahmaname. That's not my... name.

This guy just added me to their watch list which made my heart skip 3-4 beats. I've been following this guy's comic for a while and have been envious of his skill so seeing that damn near gave me a heart attack.

Srake, I'm honestly too damn hopped up on caffeine to understand anything inferred. Please outright tell me what it is you're afraid of and I will make sure to err... Refrain from posting it (trust me, I won't).

So much Pinkie Pie exploding within my core and inner soul right now. I think I'm addicted to caffeine. Is that possible? Is caffeine a physically addictive drug, or is it just psychological?

Good god, I literally feel like I'm in two place at once. When I was little and i got fevers, I used to have these fits where I could not move at a normal speed. My body literally forced me to move around at a speed walk when I was trying to walk normal. That is how I am right now. Holy fuck it musr feel good to be Pinkie Pie. Being like this all the time? Oh yes please!

Oh, hey, a Colgate vector!

...For a friend?

...

I told him I was working on a sizzle reel type thing centered around Colgate

RARITY, NO.

HE'S THE ENEMY.

BAD RARITY.

However, the project has changed significantly from "sizzle reel thing"; it's now a fake commercial. Still needed the vector though.

and lol. I put up a new vector with "a friend asked me to" in the description and not 15 secs later I got a profile comment asking for a picture and 2 notes asking for a pic. I don't even know these guys.... -.-

I'M SORRY

That moment when you realize you're not only now making 3D models for a pony game, but the guy who recruited you is the writer of a 6 star story on EQD

Why are you people, like, important and shit? The most popularity I ever get that's pony related is when I get a toy truck to hold down my voice chat button in TF2 and I play the Parasprite Polka on Sax. That's gratifying in itself to have just 23 people commend you on your talents. I've received comments like "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG" "HOLY SHIT ITS THE POLKA" "*begins slow clap*" and "That's the best mic spam I've heard in a long time." I get all fuzzy and happy inside when I get THAT! You guys are having fucking competitions to see how much you can whore out to all these hungry fans and try to use that to judge who is better (mostly talking to Shiny and Chuck, but Rarity has had instances like this as well.) While it's nice to have a little friendly competition to push you to do your best, you guys shouldn't make every single post about what you're doing to best the other. How about enjoy and savor the attention you're getting, cause it's a very nice thing to have and you'll never know how long it will last. Try to be a little less cut-throat and a little more gracious to your audience.

I am savoring this moment, believe me. I spent 16 years of my life as the guy who got picked last and the one never invited to anything, then in the course of a year that all changed. Of course I savor this. The only reason I talk about it is because that's what I do. I see or experience something awesome, I gotta tell someone. and that's not out of a "worship me" complex it's just how I tick. I want people to feel the same level of excitement I do because it just feels so damn good to be happy or excited. I even enjoy it when others do the same. Believe me when I say my "1-upping" of chuck and Shiny is just me being silly. I'm actually incredibly happy for them every time they talk about their accomplishments. When chuck's banner got used on EQD I wanted to freaking hug him I was so excited.

Now I know not everyone ticks like me and probably don't give a damn about this but if you've ever seen me when I try to suppress these moments, I look like a kid who needs to pee really bad.

And you shoulda told me you did that, I would have loved to hear it. D:

Besides there's only 1 person who's attention is something I seek on the level you think and that's because I love him.

Honestly Rarity, I was barely talking to you when I was talking about that. I'm mostly concerned about Shiny and Chuck. I'm not calling them out, I just care about all you guys and I want to make sure nobody gets caught up in competition that they forget every view counts. Plus, I'm fucking jacked up on caffeine and I don't know half the shit im saying

Please, I'm not talented enough to be anywhere near the competition, anyway. I just sketch pony drawings and put them on DA, that's about the extent of my talent here.

Lol. I'm also not talented. The extent of my contribution to the community is snidely telling Shiny all the things that are wrong with his fic, but being helpful enough while doing so that he doesn't tell me to piss off. I call this process 'editing'.

Har har. I don't know what it is, but if I join a cause of sorts, I just feel a need to contribute in any way possible, and if I don't have a proper skill set to contribute, I learn a new one or I further improve an old one to fit the slip and try to bring a little enjoyment to my fellow mentlegen.

And you are extraordinarily good at it. You point out all the times that I put something in their for story reasons that conflicts with the world, and any time I put something in for world-building that conflicts with the story. Yes, I know I said it was bullet proof last chapter, but bullet holes just look so cool!

This requires spoilering:

First of all, I do appreciate every single view. I read every single comment, and will reply to any of them that could be replied to, even ones on videos that are months old. The fact that I'm competing with chuck just means I appreciate them even more. Same way with subscribers. The only reason I don't thank them all personally is because it's kind of creepy, but I do clip on each of them and watch videos if they have them.

Second, the reason I so relish my competitiveness with Chuck is just that we are both such rare yet equal amounts of popular that we're happy to have someone that does what we do. We have a special sort of kinsmanship, and you know as well as I do that this is in absolutely no way serious. In fact, I sort of rely on it for motivation. When you're on your 6th PMV, and your last one spent months but got less vies than a little fad video, it can be tough to want to do more. However, having a clear enemy with which to compete drives me to actually finish these things.

Third, we were both like you in the beginning. I just kept getting annoyed at how inactive I was in the fandom until one point where I just said "screw it i'm making a PMV." My head exploded when the Safety Dance video I made broke 500, then it exploded twice when it hit 1,000. Mostly it's just about getting lucky and finding what works for you. There's really no way to make it happen, or even to see it coming.

Fourth, we're not famous. We have subscribers who are famous, we have videos which are not famous but very popular, but we ourselves are not famous. I have quite a few subscribers, but haven't made a single Steam friend, tumblr follower, deviantart watcher, or (serious) collab offerer from my videos.

Fifth, I wish my fic had half as many readers as any of yours. Throwing together some video clips and special effects is one thing, but putting together an intricate story with defined characters is actually hard. And I would say that I'm more proud, quality-wise, of that fic than my youtube stuff.

I think that about covers it.
