I liked the fact that the newest episode was about Spike, although I'm kinda sadden that we found nothing about Spike's origins or anything, except that he was given to Twilight as an egg.

1. OMGOMGOMG Through the Eyes of Another Pony updated, and I'm loving it. It is incredibly epic. The story has gotten much, much more mature (in a sense) than it started, the tags on EqD barely make sense any more; its verging on grimdark.

2. Dr. Whooves, are the Fallout: Equestria side stories as good as the main one? I want to know if I should treasure each chapter or blaze through them so I can read Project Horizons and Heroes? Also the above story is one you should make your friend read, though its 14 chapters long.

I was disappointed with the episode.

What we got was alright, but a single letter to Celestia and Spike may have gone off on a parent hunt with the migration as opposed to just following the dragons in general. We could have avoided the predictable "Teens are douches, lol" shtick and probably would have gotten a more poignant effect to the whole "You're my real family" thing if Spike found his biological parents. It feels like the writers wanted to actively avoid an actually compelling story with "Birth families are not necessarily the best families" undertones.

 

 

Overall: Wasted potential, but at least Spike has a phoenix now.

I liked the episode myself. It wasn't so much an origin story as it was a "finding oneself" story. He wasn't meant to find family and all that crap, just to realize that being a dragon in nature is not the best thing.

Most of the side storys of FE are ok at best, you don't need to read them in any order they are all stand alone story's, but you should pool in to project horizons, it's noncacon and no way near as good as FE but it's still worth reading. Also go read My little Avengers it's the avengers but with ponys, for exampal big Mac becomes Thor ( I'm not spoling any thing because you find that out in the first chapter). Also how did I become this forums exoert on all things Fallout Equestrea?
