Great episode. I really need to rent The Music Man sometime. The last time I saw it was on stage when I was about six years old. All I remember is the "whaddyatalk" scene at the very beginning; that always made me laugh. I also vaguely recall there were some catchy tunes in it, like "Gary Indiana". I used to sing that one all the time.

 

 

I wasn't too keen on the song. I'll listen to it again sometime, and maybe it will grow on me like "Becoming Popular" did.

So I watched today's episode for the first time at a brony meetup (which I am only now getting back from, 8n hours later). It was an odd experience, thats for sure, watching it with a group. Though I was extremely proud of myself for pointing out the Thor pony that had a hammer & lightning for a cutie mark.

 

 

I really really really really really wish they would have given him a bowtie. Still, I accept this as minor acknowledgement of his fan following, and I like how they try and explain his cutie mark.

 

As for the song, I can't say I liked it. It was like "Find a Pet" in that it was barely a song, just people talking with a few lines that are to a beat. Unsure if I like the brothers, they had a pretty stereotypical personality, but it was a new one in the show and harkens back to Trixie. Though I did like how it was one of the first songs since Winter Wrap-up to prominently feature background ponies.

 

 

Oh, and I absolutely LOVED the friendship report. It was awesome.

I find it funny, the whole issue with drinks being run out could have easily been solved through a ticket system. instead of buying drinks, you bought the tickets ahead of time, and got, say, 3 drinks per ticket, max 1 ticket. You can either get all 3 drinks at once or spread it out across multiple days. That way no one can just keep coming back every day and taking it all so no one else gets it. It'll also help them figure out how much they need to make depending on amount of tickets sold.

 

of course, wouldn't be much of an episode if they did that.
