That looks great, though I am a fan of the game keeping its look as is.

Now that does look great! Will try it out for HL next time I decide to play that game.

As for using it in the show, I dunno, I just think it will be odd if he suddenly make any graphical changes to the game while making the videos. I prefer it the way it is now. Besides, Freeman's Mind isn't about the graphics, no, it's about the random events and the hilarious commentaries.

The blackout transition is coming up though, that's the place to make any changes if there will be any.

Downloaded it, it makes the game look really blurry.

Me too. Wait, there's no readme file in there, I... I don't know how to plug it in, can anyone help?

I put it in Steam\steamapps\cptcool4\half-life source\hl1. If you don't have a good video card, you'll lag unbelievably. I'm sure that a lot of those images on the ModDB page are re-touched.

I tried it already, not only did it make things look overblown, but it's moot point since none of the effects will carry over when I record the footage. I use the source recorder so I can record frame by frame and add in motion blur, and it completely ignores these effects.

I also tried some of the textures and model packs out there. In some cases they look much better, in other cases, they make things look worse and less cohesive than the original game, plus I've seen missing textures and errors in animation when recording some models in demos.

Completely understandable Ross, Cool, I kind of made this topic in case you didn't know but yeah, stick with the good old half-life...

"When a son is born, the father will go up to the newborn baby, sword in hand; throwing it down, he says, "I shall not leave you with any property: You have only what you can provide with this weapon."

I just use the HL1 HD mod, (it uses some of the stuff from the PS1 release of the game) the shaders don't really improve much, and they use tons of GFX resources.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.
