Simple enough, i'll start off:

Portal:

-Very little replayability

-Pop-culture cliche.

Thief 3:

-Console port'd

-Unique at first but then repeatitive

-LOL AI

-WTF moments

mebbe more later.

Bioshock:

-The hacking system was bad, it took you out of the game and got very repetitive fast(though in Bioshock 2 it was good).

-The choice system of choosing between saving and harvesting the little sisters was useless, it almost didn't affect the gameplay at all(after all you will eventually always end up with the same rewards anyway).

-The bossfight was kind of meh

-The bad ending made no sense

Bioshock 2:

-They didn't add many weapons or enemies. The weapons where pretty much all the same but reskinned. And it only added 2 new enemies.

-You where the second biggest creature in rapture, which made it a lot less scary than the first game

Mirror's Edge:

-Not many different moves you could do

-Short

-Story = meh

-It was very linear(with this kind of game an open world would have worked a lot better)

-Combat mechanics were bad.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Deus Ex

- Horrible voice acting at times, JC himself sounds very cold and unemotional. Pros for getting Tom Hall, the creator of Commander Keen, to voice Walton Simons.

- The hacking system is a joke. A simple "ice breaker" button is not enough to constitute a real hack in my opinion. It should be more elaborate.

- The inventory system should've been more elaborate and had separate slots for weapons, armor and items.

Doom

- Basically no plot or story development

- Gameplay gets repetitive real fast

- The sound effects sound like they're ripped from a stock archive (and they are)

Deus Ex:

-Why does the highly trained, augmented agent shoot like a Fifth Grader?

-The First Level leaves an awful first impression.

-Story gets piss stupid later on.

BioShock:

-System Shock 2 with all the depth removed.

-False symbolism scattered everywhere.

-Seriously, this game is so much like System Shock 2.

-Hacking is terrible.

-The plot twist is pretty cool though.

Half Life:

-Gordon Freeman runs like he's gliding by on a segway.

-The story isn't as good as everyone cracks it up to be.

-The A.I is terrible.

Portal:

-No replay value.

-Overrated in every single aspect.

-Not that funny, puzzles aren't that hard, and the credits song isn't that "genius."

-The Cake isn't funny.

Battlefield Bad Company 2:

  • Punkbuster
  • Streaming PBBans are covering way too many servers
  • Punkbuster doesn't remove a ban for an inactive SP only trainer after any length of time
  • Too many times you get a server that has nothing but snipers
  • No perks to unlock beyond rank 30ish
  • Too few customizations (needs more heavy weapons, class and spec perks, and vehicles)
  • Only 4 classes (really needs more, like 6-12 different classes)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Half-Life: Opposing Force

  • Shock Troopers being generally overpowered
  • Fail AI

Half-Life

  • Lack of explanation of anything, even names of monsters (I had to search them up on the OverWiki)

Garry's Mod

  • Every update breaking something important

Super Meat Boy

  • "The Kid" level. WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY.

K.O.S.:

  • They got rid of the original Japanese beta client in favor of the Korean client
  • The Devs don't listen to the players or to the GMs.

The rest of these are solely because of the first item.

  • No weapon balance
  • Bad lag
  • Lag is increased for all when even one high-lagger joins the room
  • Lots of map glitches that weren't there before
  • Missing 2 of my favorite maps from CBT
  • Missing lots of detail work from the other maps
  • Lower FPS on certain maps for no reason

I was a Closed Beta Tester for K.O.S., and ended up leaving because the Devs don't care what people that play their game say. Even had one of the GMs (Buxfoo) on the Beta Teaster's side, but he ended up quitting due to the Devs ignoring everything he said. (Last I heard he got a job with Blizzard)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

System Shock 2

- Rickenbacker feels more like a Quake level than a human-inhabited starship; level design in general degrades towards the end of the game

- Respawning is excessive in several areas and some areas are too peaceful

- AI can not use ladders or gravshafts

- Models are low-poly and textures low-res even for a game from 1999

- Some weapons are very imbalanced

System Shock 2:

-The Rickenbacker was terrriiibbbllleee.

-The Final Battle was terrriibbbllee.

-Even for such an old game all the characters looked like origami nightmares.

-weapons only break when you're fighting tough ass enemies.

Half-life

- Bunny hop

- Not realistic shooting and bullet penetration.

- 3 Scientist Models

- 1 Security guard Model

- Easy kill by jumping on entities head (They can't do anything, kind of like fail AI)

- Everything brakes unrealisticly.

World of Warcraft & Sims:

- I can't find any good or intelligence requiring aspects of these games

"When a son is born, the father will go up to the newborn baby, sword in hand; throwing it down, he says, "I shall not leave you with any property: You have only what you can provide with this weapon."

Criticizing a game made to run on computers 13 years ago for having unrealistic ballistic model and lack of model variety seems unfair to me.

I'm not complaining, half-life is a great game.

This IS the criticism topic...

..

...

Why do you always argue with my opinions? :D

They started with me, but my arguments always played havoc with their egos. You on the other hand...

Fine, are you telling me at that time it was very hard to make more face models????

I don't think so, I can easily change a face texture in 30 seconds.

In sentence 1 you are in 1998, while in sentence 2 you are suddenly in 2011. You have difficulties thinking relatively I suppose.

Gameinformer made an annual feature of this sort of thing called their Sacred Cow Barbecue.

"That which you do not know, is not a moral charge against you; but that which you refuse to know, is an account of infamy growing in your soul. Make every allowance for errors of knowledge; do not forgive or accept any breach of morality."

I can easilly change a face texture in 30 seconds on MS paint in Win 3.1. I have the discs lying around here somewhere...

If you want I can record me booting up my old 33MHz system, and doing it in DOS if I have to.

Half life 2:

-Story line is boring, and even though HL1's wasn't as great as made out to be, it was at least interesting.

-Gravity gun is overrated.

-Slow pacing.
