I'm a big fan of John Williams, Steven Spielberg, Alan Menken, John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Hayao Miyazaki, and in general movies with happy endings.

Also there's no shame in liking Tom Hanks as an actor, so I can also say honorable mention goes to Saving Private Ryan and The Terminal.

Well, that stupid show is your answer to "The Penguins on their own".

Anyway, here's my list (2+ guilty pleasures* are included) :

    21. 21
    22. Across The Universe**

* To me, they're not guilty pleasures, but to others, they may be

** I don't see this as a movie, more of a bunch of music videos that sort of tell a story

Note: I didn't want to make my list too long, so this is the short version.

I love the part where the guy was on the loo and the demon comes in from the roof.

Mepsi: Blue cat people! How can you go wrong?

Seriously, though. Avatar was a good flick with awesome special effects. The hokey, corny aspects such as "unobtanium" and the recycled storyline didn't really detract for me. I hear that they're going to make a couple sequels and I can't wait.

On-topic, off the top of my head, I will list my favorite movies in no particular order (except for the order in which they pop into my head):

Time Bandits

Back to the Future Trilogy

Indiana Jones Trilogy

Neverending Story

Enemy Mine

1776

Wall-E

Happy Feet

Toy Story Trilogy

Incredibles

Finding Nemo

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Tangled

Poltergeist

Shining

Exorcist

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

Spaceballs

History of the World, Pt 1

There are more and I will add them to my list as I think of them.

Avatar was awful. I still don't see how people liked that movie. >_>

Each to their own. I can see how it was a polarizing movie as a lot of things about it are very off.

Neverending Story

I have that on VHS. One of my favourite movies. I even bought the Limahl album with the song.

That's a lot of good and unusual choices actually. Especially Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I didn't think anyone else actually liked it as much as I do.

Thanks

I like the characters. I think it's the best thing in the whole movie.

Yeah, same here. Great characters. And in most cases I watch movies for the characters.

Me too, the plot isn't much important (it is important of course, I know) as a good and original character.
