I have to admit, this game does have a interesting idea for the premise, but I kind of suffers from the "stupidity is the only option" trope, especially in the part where you drink the poisoned wine from the mayor. Also, even though I don't disagree with you that Fabian is annoying, I can see his motivation as a villain to be plausible. After all, that period wasn't called "The Dark Ages" for nothing, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone had gone insane and wanted to see everything burn by either trying to summon a demon or going out "Joker style".
