The problem is what is their definition of Piracy? Because according to SOPA/PIPA pretty much everything you do on the internet is piracy.

Yup.

If you hear/see 2 nanoseconds of a clip of a song/video in the background of the background of a homemade YouTube video, regardless of clarity, then you just committed a felony and deserve 50 to life. (or possibly a fine of 3 times the amount of money that exists in the world) Yeah... Let RIAA/MPAA run things...

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Just tried to explain to my parents how to hook up a printer...after 5 minutes i gave up, did it myself, and got it done in 30 seconds. I'm moving out within the year, they can't expect me to come over every time the damn internet doesn't work for the laptop.

Next lesson: The difference between IE and Chrome. wish me luck...

Well, My mom is functionally technology retarded in the sense that she can internet surf, and do basic stuff. My dad...let's just say it was a damn miracle that i explained how youtube is a great way to watch his WWE...swear he was like a damn kid in a candy store that day. XD

I feel for ya man. My Mom doesn't know beans about computers, so every time it doesn't do EXACTLY what she was expecting it to do, I'm called over to "MAKE THE COMPUTER DO SUCH AND SUCH! WHY WON'T IT WORK RIGHT?".

But yeah, the best strategy is to remain calm, and make sure they can see exactly what you are showing them, and most importantly, DON'T blow your top about it.

I don't have that problem, my dad is an works with computers but I can never understean what he dose exactly, for example at 16 he was already writing code for a nuclear reactor, he once sead the if the geek squad were normal doctors than he would be doctor House, and now he travels all around the world doing God knows what.

You have no idea. For example last month he was on safari in Africa and managed to talk two merchants in to selling him 2 ebony wood works each worth about 2,000$ for 60$ each. Also he collects ...odd stuff in his travels including 1 native American ritual obsidian ax, 1 stuffed baby crocodile, 2 long blades, 1 miyan calendar, and a LOT more stuff that I don't know the name of. So for lack of a better worde my dad is BAD ASS!

Well, have fun. I haven't had to deal with that since my entire family has been dealing with computers since the 80's.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

My Dad used to program computers for the Navy, and some of his programs have been updated and are still in use today. (he hasn't programed for them in over 20 years)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Yes it was, especially when he thought he could program something to keep me out of our first PCs... I was through it faster than he was, and he did it the right way.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.
