Its a zelda. More about the atmosphere than the gameplay. I can't recommend it as high as a good/great, maybe a hazy.

This is NOT just an inferior clone of Zelda: it starts that way, but the variety and originality carry the first part, and then the game really opens up, to th point you can shatter boundaries and go where you didn't even think there was space. Fantastic

Only played Anodyne 2, and that felt tepid and very contrived, but I'm a completionist, so I finished it.

Anodyne 1 is very different: don't judge a game unless you know it.
