My family didn't bother with internet, we were still stuck to a 300 baud modem in '94/'95.

My father was one of the first ones to get ISDN. I still remember the sound you got when connecting with a modem though. I thought they were a bit scary at first.

My dad was a professional programmer, but I figured out how to software mute the modem when he couldn't... lol (I was 6 years old at the time)
