Why is she pronouncing it "ply-dees"? The official pronunciation is "puh-lee-a-dees".

 

Also, I hope the new Arecibo telescope gets more than just $8m, or it's going to be a poor quality telescope...

I also noticed that, I have several theories.

1. She fumbled and didn't notice during editing, or couldn't be bothered to rerecord.

2. It's her Geordie accent sneaking up on her,

3. She never heard the correct pronunciation before and was reading it the way she thinks it should be read. (I know, not very likely, since she's an astronomer).
