Any Russian speakers here? I want to show my cousin Code Geass, but all the subs I found where literally .ass. Which are the most decent ones.

My two favorites are Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. I've seen a lot of others like YYH, Death Note, Elfen Lied, and Hellsing, but none got me quite like those two.

I've always found it weird to judge anime differently from western animation. The only difference I've ever been able to see is how profitable "quantity over quality" is in Japan. I don't think anime in and of itself has any merits over western cartoons.

That said, JoJo is fucking excellent and a must see for ANY animation fan.

Ghost in the Shell and Akira, whilst being good films, are total ripoffs of Blade Runner

However I get annoyed by fans who try to proclaim how original and unique they are, like claiming The Matrix is a ripoff of Ghost in the Shell, which really rustles my jimmys

Now to be clear, I'm a fan of the original series from the 90s, and the film re-makes of The Golden Age Arc. I don't like the new one that recently came out even though I do appreciate that they did decide to go beyond Golden Age with it. I eventually intend to read the Manga.
