That's probably my brother's favorite weapon. He got good enough to bounce the shot around corners and hit people, I was pretty impressed.

 

Stick them to walls is always fun.

I was disappointed with the crossbow in Half-Life 2. The one in the original was my favorite weapon and It seems superior in every way to the one in the second game.

Well, the main difference probably lies in the ammunition. The HL1 crossbow fires darts from magazines while the HL2 crossbow fires bolts. So I don't think either of them are better than the other, just requiring different methods.

I like the magnum. It can one-shot kill many things, and can "snipe" enemies from a long distance.

Well, he missed half the time, and would sometimes just end up nailing people's feet to the floor, but when it did work it was awesome.

I'd def pick it second but the pistol is the gun you have for most of the game.

I thought the pistol looked pretty cool when I picked it up.

Valve have a strain of making the pistol sound the worst of all the weapons.

 

My favourite gun is a tie between the crossbow and the shotgun.

I also like the bazooka for it's laser-sight controlled rocket.

 

Crossbow long range, shotgun close.

 

I really miss the gauss gun though, I got so many online kills with that through the wall just by listening and taking an educated guess where the oponnent is.
