Fujin Posted March 31, 2011 our current population growth is unsustainable and probably a bigger problem than the other issues I'd say. Bomb southern California and all of Texas. Problem solved. For once, I agree with you. Share this post Link to post

BTGBullseye Posted April 1, 2011 The internet gives the basement dwellers a voice, how cool is that? I don't have a basement yet, but I want one... Then I'll excavate down under the house and build a tunnel network that goes to under each bank in town, (very well supported tunnels, maybe even use reinforced concrete for the tunnel lining) and have a couple exterior entrances to the tunnel network... Build a 20 x 30 room for the computers, a 15 x 20 entrance room for each entrance, a couple dozen 10 x 15 bedrooms, a 20 x 25 kitchen, and a 50 x 50 meeting room. Maybe even a small shooting range... Tap into a phone line, one of the cable substations, and one of the transformers at one of the power substations. Probly put in some air scrubbers... Then I just have to figure out who I want invite to live with me and survive the apocalypse with... Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that. Share this post Link to post

You'd also need UV lights and a huge amount of un-monsanto-ized corn pods. Along with the soil and equipment to maintain it. Even a few hundred cattle or so to keep protein in the diet. Along with the soil and equipment to maintain it. Even a few hundred cattle or so to keep protein in the diet. Fish... And various other things designed for aquatic life. It'll even take work off of the air scrubbers with sufficient plant/algae life. That's the most efficient way of producing protein in a contained environment. (you should read some of Ben Bova's books) But definitely lots of UV and full spectrum lights... Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that. Share this post Link to post

BTGBullseye Posted April 2, 2011 Can we get back on topic, please? This topic is the discussion of the human race's place in history. Well considering that we're the only race on this planet that records history, when we're gone, there goes our place in history. (especially if the planet gets destroyed before aliens get here) Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that. Share this post Link to post

Well considering that we're the only race on this planet that records history, when we're gone, there goes our place in history. (especially if the planet gets destroyed before aliens get here) Perhaps that depends on whether or not what we create destroys us but continues on (such as machines). (especially if the planet gets destroyed before aliens get here) Wasn't there that satellite that contains over 100k strains of DNA, and Iron Mountain? I'm pretty sure even when we kill ourselves (or I kill you all) our memories will live on. Share this post Link to post

I meant that metaphorically, It's called the immortality protocol or something, I saw it on "Life after humans". That's a great series. Share this post Link to post
