Here is a dodgy picture of a computer at my school! I'm starting my new major project in Graphics and Design. :3 I'm currently working on the head of a robot turret at the moment. This is an hour and a half of work done.

From the list on the right, you can see it literally started out as a box. X3 And I've just gradually expanded it. The beauty of modelling!

My recommendation for you: Move from glossy paper and pen to drawing paper and pencil.

 

Otherwise, it's quite good for a beginner.

Nice work! I strongly suggest paper and pencil though.

X3 It can even be lined paper. Glossy paper just isn't good for that stuff. It's also expensive.

Really, I've been drawing for so long, I've ditched any drawing paper cause I always go scribbling in my books or whatever. XP But drawing paper is preferred.

Look! It's PAMI, my turret model! :3

It's coming together so nicely. I just need to properly attach some of the limbs and give it some materials!

Animating will be the hardest part, as it's also the least familiar for me. I also need to figure out how to move it fluidly... as the front leg is easy enough to rotate around since it's on an axis. The other two legs however are angled 45*, thus have no axis to be based off, making it really tipsy topsy. XD

 

EDIT: Ignore the duplication of picture 2 and 3. X3 I broke it and I don't know how to delete individual pictures from an album. I'm also too lazy to make a whole new album, just to get rid of one picture.

Looks pretty good. Some of the geometry conflicts with the smoothing feature but overall has a good consistency.

 

As for animating, I tried that a little bit in Max. Not fun lol. Probably didn't help I was working with broken motion capture. I just feel there's probably better animation software out there.

I think poems are considered art, so here's one I made for school a few years ago:

Everyone had to write a random thing on a piece of paper and then give to another person, who then had to write a poem about it (might also be a good idea for a Forum Games thread!). Anyway, I had to write a poem about sponges.

 

"Sponges exist, and why would they not.

Sponges are boring, they're boring as fuck.

I wrote a poem 'bout how much sponges suck

and the poem ends now, which is everyone's luck."

Speaking of poems I'm huge into poems so if anyone has any I'd live to read em. Unfortunately I only ever seem to be good with words when I'm not trying so I don't have any written myself.

 

Favorite kind have some sort of rhyme scheme since I like how those flow.

Poems are cool. X3 But I get mad if it doesn't rhyme or have any flow to it. XD I like things when they're just... Nice and even.

 

Meanwhile, I have no internet because of my plan change over. So I've been busy with things I can do offline, including my graphics and design task. My little robot is done!

It took me a while to get decent materials for it because it kept reflecting off of each other, and adjusting the settings wasn't helping for some reason. It'd make the white and black look grey and it'd just look awful. XD Am I boring for just choosing black and white? Probably.

 

Now I just gotta animate it, which is gonna be a paaaain. If anyone knows a good method for animating this kind of stuff, help would be appreciated!

I've found that Imgur has deleted other's images if they don't frequent the account... My experience with Photobucket on the other hand is a complete absence from accessing it for over a year, and never lost a single image, or had the URL for the image change.

Strange.... Never had that happen before... I still have images from like... Years ago. o.O Even when I'm in-active for months. Either way, Zaraki can use either one. Whatever he chooses. :3
