In the September 2016 video chat, I asked what you thought about the current state of Team Fortress 2, and you replied by saying that you never really got into TF2, the pacing being a problem due to its difference from TFC, among other things. Would you care to elaborate what else turned you off from the game?

Also, what was your favorite class in TFC?

Oh boy, I have a bunch of questions.

As an expert in cyberpunk fashion, what do you think of Adam Jensen's sunglasses being augmented directly into his face?

You mentioned before that you're a fan of some Akira Kurosawa films. What's your favorite film of his and why?

In the very first videochat, you mentioned that you didn't like Eraserhead (the David Lynch movie,) but you never explained why. Speaking as a fan of Lynch, I think it's his best work, so why don't you like it?

Why do you think the American democratic system has only two major parties, while the vast majority of other democratic systems have several, often with overlapping ideologies?

If you were named supreme dictator of the US, what would be the first change you would enact?

You mentioned before that you were considering a Ross Rants on Microsoft and gaming. Have you decided to do or not do it?

Considering the dodgy stuff the U.S. government has done in the past, global spying, overthrowing governments in small countries, illegally experimenting on American citizens (see MKUltra), etc. What would be the final straw for you to renounce your U.S. citizenship? And if you did what country would you look at becoming a citizen of?

1) Given the disparaging comments about YouTube poop (or "spazzanimation") you made in previous videochats, I've got the impression that you aren't especially keen on so-called "internet humour". Is there any kind of humour that is ubiquitous to the internet (i.e. webcomics, comedy Youtube channels, memes, etc) that you like, and if so can you name a few examples?

2) Although I suspect that I know your answer already, subjectively between ghosts and zombies which of the two do you find the most disturbing and frightening prospect? I only ask because I've been having this debate with a close friend of mine on-and-off for about a month now. He is very much on the side of zombies whereas I'm leaning towards ghosts. We decided to defer to your ineffable wisdom on the subject.

When close friends speak ill of close friends

they pass their abuse from ear to ear

in dying whispers -

even now, when prayers are no longer prayed.

What sounds like violent coughing

turns out to be laughter.

I have a question:

Ross already made his thoughts on killing games VERY clear, but what about killing / "redoing" Dev studios?

If you aren't familiar, i will try to explain:

When a dev group, owned by a larger group, is doing fine but not spectacularly, the people behind it get fired/replaced/put on hold permanently so the larger group try more lucrative games.

EA is again famous for doing it. They bought already MANY smaller studios, cashed in for a couple games, then cut funding for that studio, which is unable to ever continue their own series / games.

There are several examples, like Maxis (makers of The sims, Sim City, Spore and several other smaller simulation games), owned by EA, was severely cut down after the newest Sim City didnt do so well, and are basically taking care of The Sims 4, with no larger projects ahead of them.

Similar thing for Visceral, makers of the Dead Space series. DS3 wasnt a failure, but hasnt hit EA ludicrous expectations, and were put on hold, not producing much afterwards.

Ross, do you think it's possible that in the future Gaming and Movies would be curriculum subjects on-level with literature? I believe that at this point all three of these mediums can deliver the same amounts of cultural development provided proper selection of games/movies in question. Isn't it likely that both games and movies will eventually be as much of a part of everyday life as literature? I think it's only fair that pupils should also learn about the history and development of various genres and milestone games/movies, they'd analyze the plots and the characters and so on. What are you thoughts about having classes like that? I'm not talking about an urgent or necessary change in the education system worldwide, I just wanna raise an interesting topic for discussion.

Ross, I recently played The Division, and I shot an NPC (human) in the head, and he didn't die. This isn't unique to Division, but does that tick you off as it does me? It kinda takes me out of the game because face it, a M16 bullet to the face kills almost anything.

1. What was your opinion on that Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco nearly five years back? I recall that blowing up to the point that even publications and groups that usually showed no interest in video games covered it. This question is not so much about the content of the endings themselves (since I'm not sure if you've even played those games), but more like: was the fan backlash justified, was Bioware's response sufficient, and does this whole event say generally good or generally bad things about the future of gaming in general, in your opinion?

2. Are you a fan of Mike Judge's work, besides Office Space?

3. Do you vote from abroad? (note: not asking WHO you vote for)

1) What are your recommendations for driving games for DOS, Windows 9x - XP, or Linux? They don't need to be racing games per se, just games where you drive a lot. Thanks!

2) What's your impression/opinion about the new Toejam & Earl game which was recently Kickstarted? [

]

3) Have you played Escape from Hell by Electronic Arts from 1990? Impressions? [ https://archive.org/details/msdos_Escape_from_Hell_1990 ]

4) Edu-tainment games - what are your thoughts and beliefs about software being both educational and fun as a game? Have you played any good educational games? MECC, Knowledge Adventure, and Electronic Arts used to make some pretty good ones.

5) Why do you believe Nintendo does not make its arcade games as downloads available for purchase, yet it makes almost all of its console and handheld games available for sale as downloads?

6) What are your thoughts about the disappearance of truly useful physical copies of games? By "useful" I mean ones which work without an Internet connection being required at any point. It seems most PC games in North America don't get tangible copies at retail anymore, but when they do, they are effectively useless for reuse (selling, trading, borrowing, etc.). Installing them even once causes them to lose all value due to them basically just being launchers/installers of Steam-downloadable copies which then tie to an account. The discs sometimes contain a few files for the installation with the rest of the files sourced from online. Other times the discs don't even have that much included: it's just an installer of Steam + the game's code for downloading it.

7) D/Generation seems like the sort of classic computer game that you might have played in the 1990's. Have you, and what do you think of its bio-engineering-gone-wrong scenario?

8) Simple question: What do you like about your favorite weapons in DOOM I & II?

9) Concerning the killing of online-dependent games, should you get the Electronic Frontier Foundation involved? It seems like the perfect match with Dead Game News, so I suggest you contact [ https://www.eff.org/ ]. The EFF is all about digital rights, online privacy, consumer protections, and freedom, and it is definitely anti-software-killing in spirit. Perhaps you two can work out a collaboration?

10) What do the Polish people seem to think about American people, politics, food, culture, movies, music, TV, etc.?

Could you please briefly tell us about Otto Beumelburg? This name used to show up in the credits of a lot of your videos. Internet search didn't show much.

1. Ross have you considered using the TFGH or YGHJ controls schemes for FPS movement? They'll put your hand in the center of the keyboard so that way you have access to all of your keys unlike WASD or ESDF.

2. How can I get involved with the Game Dungeon spinoff you mentioned way back in the August videochat? I recently had my PC outfitted with two SSDs so I could totally record and edit footage for it.

3. On a similar note What kind of video recording and editing software do you use for Game Dungeon?

I'm not saying I started the fire. But I most certain poured gasoline on it.

1. Have you played the original Thief games (Thief: Dark Project and Thief: The Metal Age) and what do you think of them?

2. Would you be willing to do a Game Dungeon on these Thief games?

Can you tell us more about Still Life 2 ?

And I'm aware it's a shot in the dark but since ruleofrosemysteries is dead, I'd like it if you someday made something about rule of rose. It has a kind of mood you may like (and controls you may hate).

Cheers

Hey Ross, recently I've seen some exoskeletons in development for VR that would translate full body motion into VR as well as provide force feedback when holding virtual objects or contacting virtual surfaces. They achieve this by suspending the exoskeleton in the air by a frame which allows the user to run, sit, etc without hitting anything in the real world. These exoskeletons would allow you to literally walk around in and touch worlds of any scale.

Do you think this would solve all motion sickness problems?

Would you get one if they ever become commercially available?

P.S. I'm sorry that I haven't made any progress on your mouse, I've been busy. But hopefully one day.

Question for Ross?

The Witcher 3 being one of the best games ever made, gathered a huge fanbase of people who love the card game in the witcher 3,GWENT.Have you played it and what are your thoughts on it?

Honestly if you are ever going to break your gaming on a 4-5 year lag rule, you should do it for Witcher 3,because it's insanely good,I am not a kind of person to say these things and 99% of the time I mind my own business and I don't go around preaching like a mad person. But witcher 3 is way too good,it's a new standard for gaming,I really hope you at least try it for a little bit.

2 questions, if you don't mind.

1. What is your opinion on heavily story based games. Do games always need to be mostly focused on gameplay?

2. Have you ever seen the show HAWP (Hey Ash Watcha' Playing) made by Ashly and Anthony Burch? Opinions?
