The Duke Nukem Forever thread

What I am most excited about is the game itself though. It's gonna be awesome to kick ass and chew bubblegum once again. Even if I'm all out of gum.

Damn, I forgot where he ripped that line from. I'm sure I saw it somewhere today

It was the movie "They Live".

You know what I find hilarious about that movie? he walks into the bank with a shotgun and looks around. No one cares. Then he tells then that he's there to kick ass and chew bubblegum. Still no worries. And he's all out of bubblegum, instant panic! Somebody find this guy some gum, quick! lol!

I love Claptrap, but apparently Duke doesn't. Anyone else notice that Duke uses a Borderlands rocket launcher in that?

To be honest, I was actually getting kind of worried. For a second there I thought Fox News didn't have much of a problem with Duke. Also, I'd like to clear up two things. Duke Nukem does NOT slap the babe in Capture the Babe. He gives her a spank to calm her down. Also, Randy DID give a reason for the delay: their initial predictions on how long the game would take and hard it'd be were inaccurate. I also like how the feminist expert woman says that Duke Nukem having strippers is harmful to young women.

It just makes me a picture a scenario where a young woman is walking down the street going "Lalala going to college with my free will". Then Duke pops on a TV and says "Shake it baby", with the girl responding "Awww, now I have to be a stripper because something completely unrelated to me depicts strippers within it". It puts in perspective just how full of shit Fox News' tagline is.

I love you, yet can't stand to know you exist.

Fox News need to get their head out of the gutter and stop bullshitting people. Either way, women are already being sexualized through television and media so... I find it hypocritical for someone on TV to criticize a game for doing so when they are probably already showing commercials with perfect women showing off underwear.

Until this point I was pretty surprised about no one mentioning the slapping in "Capture the Babe" here. It's a full-on war over at PC gamer forums

I was actually getting my rage on a little when i read that you would have to slap the babe to calm her down, because first thing i thought slap her in the face. And that is just not cool, but as it was explained later it sounds better.

And tbh i am pretty tolerant with DNF because that's just what the game is supposed to be(pure bad-assness), but there still is a line which i hope DNF will not cross.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Besides, people complain giving a woman a spank, when Duke *Turns on Fox News logic* glorifies the use of steroids by allowing the player to make enemies explode with their 'roid-enhanced punches *Turns off Fox news logic*. It just doesn't make any sense.

I love you, yet can't stand to know you exist.

That's what happens when people get jealous of a fictional character.

The updated boxart, just in case you missed it. I like it alot, but I'm in the minority in terms of the fanbase.
