Birthday thread: Soundtracks

Recommended Posts

The soundtrack for M.A.G. (a ps3 exclusive) is pretty good. There are 3 factions with their own full soundtracks each made by different artists. Two notable ones include Sascha Dikiciyan aka Sonic Mayhem  and Apocalyptica. The soundtracks aren't available for purchase anymore so I've uploaded from my own collection.

Hope you enjoy!

The Witcher 3

Yeah, the Witcher 3

I'm pretty sure Ross will (eventually) find time to actually play this game, and that's definitely a better way to experience its OST for the first time.

Besides, the official OST release is lacking at best. Not only do most of the tracks consist of multiple layers combined on-the-fly, which gives at least half a dozen starkly different versions for each track - out of which the OST affords only one; but it ALSO just plain OMITS a lot of great tracks, some of which are my favorites.

So my advice to anyone who still haven't played this jewel of a game is to just go an play it.

Come the full moon, the bat flies whose boiling blood shall stem the tide.

I just watched the Big Birthday Bash video, and wanted to show you VERTIGO REMASTERED. One of the best, but overlooked VR games of all time. Here's the soundtrack.

Hi Ross, just rewatched the big birthday video and thought I'd contribute some of the soundtracks which I've enjoyed over the past few years.

1. Viva Piñata - Charming and peaceful orchestral soundtrack. Occasionally available for vinyl purchase at iam8bit.com, but the easiest source to listen to is this YouTube compilation

2. Neon White - This is not a particularly obscure game, but the soundtrack (as well as everything else in the game) goes pretty hard. Split into two albums, Part 1 which is more up-tempo and Part 2 which is somewhat more chilled out

3. Mirror's Edge Catalyst - Another mainstream game, great soundtrack by Solar Fields. Also extremely long (5 hours and 13 minutes). I've linked the song 'Catalyst' from the OST but it's a pretty solid OST all round

4. Octopath Traveler I & II - Nice relaxing music. I have linked to a chill mix for the second game

5. Ratchet and Clank series - This mix contains the top bangers

6. Journey - I'm sure someone already posted this but the whole OST is pretty stunning

7. Kena: Bridge of Spirits - sort of a mix of new age music with action OST
