This can also be the thread for discussing writing related subjects, possibly even books, and just anything in general that involves either reading or picking up a pen and writing. XP So... poems, borderline comics?

@Zaraki: Your style of writing is certainly different, but interesting! As for plot wise; first few moments into the story and it's already getting intense. XD But you know how to make me feel disgusted towards a character - a good thing. XP

Unrelated but OT: I always find my heart getting stabbed whenever I see someone subscribing to a dead story of mine on a fanfiction website. XD I just shake my head and go; "Nooo, you fool! You're making me feel bad for stopping! Why are you subscribed? You are going to get NOTHING." I feel both in awe that somebody likes the story so far, enough to watch for updates - but I'm also just really ashamed... X3 Of myself really. I was going to post a new chapter every two weeks, but that turned into three weeks, and the last chapter I posted was I swear half a year ago or something. XP It'd feel wrong to just suddenly pick it back up and then say; "Back to three week updates." Because I know the same thing will happen and I'll just stop writing it. The only story so far that I've been very actively working towards is my novel. Legit, it's classed as a novel now, that's how long it is. *sniffs* My little baby story... they grow up so fast. *wipes tear* You know you've done good when you open up the page you've written the novel on, and it actually takes a few moments to load because you've got 121 A4 pages worth of writing. Hehe, sweeeeet.

"Ross, this is nothing. WHAT YOU NEED to be playing is S***flinger 5000." - Ross Scott talking about himself.

@Zaraki: A good story writing allows the readers to vividly imagine what he/she's reading, and this one is a good example. I would read this again and again.

Mind if i share some of my writings? This is one of the poems I wrote at one of my "emotionally wrecked" moods:

Bitterness is a memory

Passion is my poison

Jealousy is my company

Love’s a bitch.

Overthinking is my hobby

Grudges by my bedside

Visions of broken fantasies

Life’s a bitch.

Success is just an illusion

Fame’s a temporary friend

Everything is just confusion

It won’t matter when you’re gone.

Misery is my pleasure

Friendliness isn’t real

Death shall be my treasure

A rope ends it.

Welp, now what?

I have a music review blog that I haven't updated in over a year due to disorganisation, but I plan to get right back into it.

I also sometimes write short thought-pieces about general things, a few of them are about trying to understand myself, others are about politics, the most recent of which I want to submit to The Guardian.

Here's a small thing I wrote about writing:

Writing.

Damn, it's been so long since I really put pen to paper. The thought processes that occur while doing this simply do not happen when typing.

This just confirms my anxiety about technology. Children need to know how to write. And they need to write. A computer is not the same thing. There's something very disconnected about typing. It doesn't flow as much.

It's hitting me now that a lot of my own neuroticism, anxiety, and such like, are made worse when I just store them in my head. It's a lot of effort to lock them down in an environment as abstract and fluxing as the mind. Making them travel down your arm, through a pen and onto paper seems to help a lot. Almost as if you're draining your thoughts out of your brain, freeing up space. Space and energy. It's very...odd. Oddly relaxing.

I should do this more often.

Nice story, Zaraki. Might wanna put some more descriptions of the environment in there, but I definitely feel the atmosphere!

I used to write a lot. Poems, stories, songs, everything. Maybe I can still find a few of the English poems I made for school...

Anyway, for now, here's an abondoned project from a few years ago. My writing style was kinda crappy.

I found the clothing and hair styles of some of the people I met in the street fascinating, but for all the wrong reasons. One good example was walking towards me right now. I think he is what is mostly called a “hipster”, although everyone seems to have his own definition of what a hipster is. This particular fellow had the brown hair on the sides on his head cut short, but the top was longer and, using probably a whole can of hairspray, formed diagonally upwards, making his haircut look like someone tried building the tower of douchebag out of whipped cream. His expressionless eyes stared blankly through his oversized glasses onto the smartphone in his hands, which he was using as a mirror to check his hair. I never understood those glasses. I remember how “back in the day” needing glasses like that was considered a death sentence because you would never stop getting bullied. Even people with normal glasses feared being called a nerd. Today being a nerd was apparently considered a good trait. This theory was enforced by the fact that he was wearing a buttoned up red plaid shirt with short sleeves. He was also wearing tight yellow trousers which seemed to be too small for him. Interestingly, this is a complete reversal of the rapper stereotype who always wears clothes that are at least one size too big for him. The most obnoxious thing about him however, was his bright pink sports shoes. Pink might be a good colour for candy, Disney princesses or pigs, but not clothes. I could literally see him from a mile away in those shoes. Those shoes alone made my soul cry with rage for some reason, but combined with the rest of his attire just made me want to smack him in the face with a crowbar as he walked past me.

But I didn’t.

Now imagine an entire city full of people who look like that. This is my world. Sometimes I feel like in a time where smartphones, tablet pcs, crappy TV shows and over-sexualized “musicians” rule the world, I am the only sane person, although that thought alone probably proves that I am not.

Idiots. They are all idiots. And I’m the biggest one of them. Woe me.

My writing skill: Technical and instructional only. I can make the finest step by step guides possible, but can't write fiction if my life depended on it.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.
