Well, at least the whole Syria fiasco won't lead to WW3 now. Seriously, a lot of people don't know what a powder keg that place is, and how much Clinton was fanning the flames towards that direction.

This year's been a wild Wild WILD ride.

From HeWillNotDivideUs, to bombing Syria.

To the MSM becoming basically the commentators of a reality TV show in their own personal delusional bubble that's disconnected from reality itself rather than actually telling the fucking news like they're supposed to

to the whole Russia "investigation" witch-hunt leading to a whole gigantic nothing burger,

DLddOvvU8AANVf_.jpg

and topped off with more political riots than you can throw a dart at.

If this year's moral outrage is THIS crazy, 2018 is going to be unbelievable.

Given that the current Legacy Dinosaur media refuses to cover all of the accomplishments of the current President I decided I will list them here:

1. Appointed a new Supreme Court Judge Gorsuch

6. Mortgage applications for new homes rise to a seven year high

7. Arranged from 7% to 24% Tariff on lumber from Canada

18. China agreed to American import of beef

19. Over $89 Billion saved in regulation rollbacks, including a boost to coal mining

20. Dropped a MOAB on ISIS

21. (With majority help from Russia and Syria) Defeated ISIS in Syria

22. Temporary travel ban reinstated

23. Executive order for Religious freedom (surprising, because I thought it was self evident)

24. Jump started NASA

25. $600 million cut from UN peacekeeping budget

26. Deporting violent illegal immigrants

27. Targeting of MS13 gangs

28. Signed 41 bills to date

29. Created a commission into child trafficking

34. Historic Black College University initiative

35. Women in Entrepreneurship Act

36. Reversed Dodd-Frank

37. Created an office for illegal immigrant crime victims

38. Repealed DOT ruling which would have taken power away from local governments for infrastructure planning

39. Executive Order to stop crime against law enforcement

40. End of DAPA program

41. Stopped some companies from moving out of America (i.e. Silicon Valley companies)

42. Promoted businesses to create American Jobs, which is encouraging the country to once again - "Buy American, Hire American"

48. Denied the FBI a new building

49. Over $700 million saved with the F-35 renegotiation

50. Saved $22 million by reducing the White House payroll

51. The Department of Treasury reports a $182 billion surplus for April 2017 (the 2nd largest in US history)

52. Negotiated the release of 6 US humanitarian workers held captive in Egypt, and that kid in North Korea.

53. Pardoned Sheriff Apario

54. Gas prices the lowest in more than 12 years.

55. Signed Executive Order to Promote Energy Independence and Economic Growth

56. Has already accomplished more to stop government interference into people's lives than any President in US history

57. Has passed more legislation in his first 100 days than any President since Harry Truman

58. Has given Head Executive of each branches a 6 month time frame, dated March 15 2017, to trim the fat, restructure, and improve efficiency of their branch (Obsurve the push-back, the leaks, the lies, as entrenched POWER refuses to go silently into that good night)

59. Stopped government funding to Planned Parenthood (No more taxpayer funded abortions)

60. Last but not least, he refused his Presidential paycheck, and donated it to Veteran's issues.

The latest Tax Reform is the icing on the cake before Christmas, and probably will be what will get him a lot of The Rustbelt and keep him Michigan if nothing major changes to effect those populi, if it does what it appears it will do.

I love the one major criticism I've heard about it really is: "Oh, this helps the rich save more, therefore we should all hate it.", neglecting the fact that said rich are still paying a bigger share than the lower middle class and lower class who're especially now going to be paying basically nothing in those taxes. Its only a few grand extra for each family involved, potentially, but that's huge for those of that finance level. And if it works and more people get into better financial situations because of it and everything else that seems to be economically swinging up for the US, you know damn well he's likely in for a 2nd term.

Nobody's gonna give a fuck about the theatrics in the media or virtue-signalling out of Washington bureaucrats who all seem to hate him when the public can see the better situation right in front of them.

I applaud the fact that he's doing what's best for the country, or at least appears to be economically, and I'm looking down from Canada. (I could care less about the lumber tariff, if our PM was so great his guys would be better negotiators. I won't be surprised either if Trump's guys end up dropping NAFTA outright either.) It makes sense, he'll likely be remembered as a Big Money President for the country, if nothing else. He's defied a bunch of the predictions on that end so far. Hell, if we were to have believed them, you guys would already be in another recession by now and never be seeing over 3% growth again.

So, I guess it's time for my monthly forums rant.

Net Neutrality is dead because it was pushed through by a "board" of only a few people. There are millions of fake comments saying that net neutrality should be repealed, with some of those comments coming from "Barack Obama". That was a vote which was pushed through, regardless of the fact that people wanted to investigate why these fake comments were made. Yet, the FCC was perfectly fine with saying, "Alright, public opinion dictates we repeal net neutrality" when most of it was the same copy and paste remark, with a sizable amount of them coming from dead people. Granted, there are many programs out there to have people simply put in information and they will get a generic copy and paste statement, however, these are not requests made by dead people or previous POTUS' against their own policies of which they instated.

Even if the twitter arguments between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump haven't sparked a nuclear war, it's still an extremely petty scenario.

I don't consider the repealing of the Paris Climate Acts a good thing, especially by someone who calls global warming a "Chinese Hoax". The likelihood of that bill being adequately replaced is miniscule, at least until 2019 or 2021.

The Keystone Pipeline goes over the Missouri and other environmentally sensitive areas, and the Missouri is used as a source of water for many residents downstream. There is legitimate concern over this pipeline leaking, and the president refuses to review this because it is 'economically important' to his policies. While the Keystone pipeline is a controversial issue, I don't think that the EPA was a controversial division of the government. It is a branch dedicated to protecting the Environment from Americans, and Americans from the Environment. What purpose would it serve to cripple the EPA?

The MOAB is just a political statement of power. It doesn't matter anyways because apparently Russia has a bigger one. It's just all a show of power, it's all anything has ever been politically in the history of mankind, not just the last 242 years that America has existed.

Instead of Joe Arpaio, let's talk about the "Prison Industrial Complex", where there is incentive for police to arrest for more trivial things, and make people labor for the profit of the prison. And the people doing so only get paid a few dollars a day, if they're lucky. "The wages for these jobs are a fraction of what similar work would earn outside of prison; in the federal prison system, for example, the pay range is between $0.12 and $0.40 per hour." - https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-business/2015/dec/09/prison-work-program-ohsa-whole-foods-inmate-labor-incarceration https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/1998/12/the-prison-industrial-complex/304669/

Alright, the Pence thing. He is extremely homophobic. The conversion therapy thing is something misinterpreted and spread around as rumor, my bad. However, let me link something from his 2000 election page.

"Congress should oppose any effort to put gay and lesbian relationships on an equal legal status with heterosexual marriage.

Congress should oppose any effort to recognize homosexuals as a "discreet and insular minority" entitled to the protection of anti-discrimination laws similar to those extended to women and ethnic minorities."

In case you don't believe me: http://web.archive.org/web/20010519165033fw_/http:/cybertext.net/pence/issues.html and scroll down to "Strengthening the American Family"

Even if it was 18 years ago, it says that he had a stance on it. And, "Pence also called being gay a choice and said keeping gays from marrying was not discrimination, but an enforcement of “God’s idea.”" - http://time.com/4406337/mike-pence-gay-rights-lgbt-religious-freedom/

Even if Planned Parenthood is defiling people's beliefs via taxation, it doesn't mean that we shouldn't at least have cheaper hospitals or similar practices, that aren't tax funded or won't scaremonger abortion. It should at least be an option for someone who didn't want to have a baby, or was forced into it. And yes, while there is birth control, not everyone can foresee something happening to themselves involving sex.

And fair enough, the media has, throughout the history of America, been extremely biased and manipulative of evidence.

TL;DR

My view on things is pretty much just "Let people believe what they want.", but I don't think that when people believe that other groups of people are less than them that it is even considered a valid belief. A good example of a result of such beliefs, albeit extreme, would be the Holocaust. Another would be the entirety of the U.S., with minorities being singled out either politically or socially. What does it do for everyone else if you are considering a section of the human population to be lesser and unimportant? My point being: Who the hell cares what someone does if it only involves themselves? Just live on Earth and try to further the species as a whole, not just for or against a group of it.

Anyways, monthly (edited) rant over.

Couple responses to the Rant that I know of and can talk about, to add a bit of criticism.

1: Joe Arpaio was never convicted any racist actions, after a long and lengthy investigation by some of the highest authorities under the Obama administration, no less. His only crime was being in contempt of the court. Suddenly he's a Klansman level racist? For someone who was apparently so racist, apparently nobody could charge him for it under the previous administration.

2: Who gives a flying fuck about the twitter tirades between Trump and Kim at this point? They've been doing this for the last year, if I recall correctly, neither have pushed the button. Trump's not done anything that the last Presidents haven't done in terms of NK, he's just done it in his own blunt fashion. (Which considering the fact that US actions towards NK in response to whatever they say or do have proven to make no difference no matter what form they take, I'd say who cares? This is the NK administrations that called Obama a big black monkey in office, and openly defied even Dubyay's rhetoric. It makes no difference how polite or crass the US is to them, they'll do whatever the fuck they want.)

3: Considering the Dems have yet to acknowledge Antifa's crimes, and in fact openly promoted their handbook, or the fact that many of their University Campus supporters openly call for violence against any suspected "Nazi", I'm not holding my breath on Trump acknowledging any of his "White Supremacist" supporters. Even though last I heard even they were pissed off at him because they didn't think he was racist enough, go fucking figure.

4: Hillary doesn't feel she did anything wrong in her platform, she's blamed everyone but herself for her failure at this point. Of course Trump's not going to admit he's done anything wrong either. This is the way of politics.

5: The media does lie, it does print bullshit constantly to suit the needs of its narratives and will bend the truth to suit the agendas of those who control it. I've seen them do it for far more insignificant things than political happenings, there's no reason why they wouldn't do it for the higher shit. Why exactly do you think CNN has become the Anti-Trump station with near 24/7 coverage, practically, and at times has reached FOX levels of absurdity in how it has covered it? Oh he had two scoops of ice cream for dessert and everyone else had one, real big fucking deal for prime time television! Oh, the Southern Poverty Law Center has declared Pepe The Frog as a White Supremacist Meme because it was used by Trump. Oh, Vice found a fucking Russian Dossier that says Trump spent time in a hotel in Moscow playing watersports with a couple Russian hookers on a bed and Putin gave him 60% of his country's cash to bribe him. You gonna try and tell me that this all isn't a complete bullshit circus on their end?

The rest, I cannot really speak for since I either have little adequate knowledge about, or don't have much to criticize.

I'm no Trump supporter, and I definitely don't think he's the best speaker, but I don't believe the media has ever given him much of a fair shake (hell, I'd argue they've all regarded him as a joke or just blatantly have tried to make him look like one from the get-go), and I don't think he's the worst President in your country's history. People just need to calm down and actually look at it all as critically and honestly as they can instead of trying to get their confirmation bias out of all the BS the media has fed them.

Even if the Trans-Pacific-Partnership was lopsided, along with the Paris Climate Acts, they were bills that STOOD FOR SOMETHING.

Those were both terrible deals for everyone except for the shareholders of a select few companies... Anyone who can't see that needs to get their eyes checked.

Green energy is not just a pipe dream at this point, it is something actually feasible. Nuclear fission reactors are one of the best ways in which we could become independent of fossil fuel. The only reason we don't have any more of them being built is because scientists around the world had to screw it up a few times to perfect it. And even if Nuclear Fission is too deadly for you, it's still far better than mining coal and natural gases, and we have other alternatives such as solar and wind. Battery technology today is leaps and bounds further than it has ever been.

1. Nuclear is the only way to get enough power for the national grid efficiently enough, short of fossil fuel plants. Solar and wind are both extremely temperamental, more polluting, more lethal, and more costly.

2. Battery improvements are not sufficient enough to allow for a full transfer from fossil fuel to electric vehicles en-masse, especially considering that the average battery STILL only lasts a year or two. (you'd have to spend a minimum of $10k each time to replace the battery at their current cost)

3. Natural Gas is a severely underappreciated fuel source. Most gasoline powered vehicles could be converted to use it for less than $1000 per car, for a 1-time fee. This would reduce pollution by around 90%, reduce all fuel costs, (after the initial CNG cost rise to compensate for the demand) improve mileage, and allow for a great many more resources to be devoted to "green tech" research.

And pardoning Joe Arpaio is NOT a legitimately good thing, in fact it's terrible. It says that a racist which is corrupted mentally, on levels of Donald Trump, are legally okay to have positions of power.

I have read nothing but unsubstantiated rumor about him in regards to the accusations you're making. If you have supporting evidence, please provide it.

Do I even have to talk about Pence? He is homophobic and believes in conversion therapy, where people who differ from what he determines are the social norm are electrocuted and abused into fear of being anything else. It is one of many reasons why LGBT people are more likely to commit suicide once they are public, along with families abusing them because of it.

I have read nothing but unsubstantiated rumor about him in regards to the accusations you're making. If you have supporting evidence, please provide it.

Do I have to talk about Planned Parenthood? The clue's in the name. You plan your parenthood. Who cares if someone gets an abortion? It's something that affects that person, not you, yourself. It's kind of like arguing that birth control is a good thing but continuing to make it more expensive, while silently sliding the abortion clinics out of the way. And the changing of stances about that sort of thing is just hilarious more than anything else. And this logic kind of carries over to... well, you'll figure it out. 'Yes, let's blame the woman for just happening to be in said location.' "We can't let her show skin here or else men can't control themselves, and instead have to go through a series of decisions which they could consider to be a bad idea at any point and could stop."

One of the major reasons that Planned Parenthood was defunded was because of their repeated use of scaremongering to push people to get abortions at clinics that gave kickbacks directly to PP. These clinics also had reputations for being incredibly bad at their job, occasionally even removing the child alive, then leaving it to die of exposure, or simply beating it to death. PP however was protected by their friends in the government, and so was never shut down, despite being proven to be corrupt way beyond even what the government is.

Another reason is that it was using tax dollars to directly fund this corruption, effectively forcing people with religious prohibitions on the support of murder of unborn children to fund the murder of unborn children. (please don't argue the "they're not a person yet" thing, as that definition is false according to any form of scientific scrutiny that has been used to define it)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

So, given America's history with mass shootings in the last 2 decades, what are your thoughts about how discussion has been treated, and how politicians are endorsed monetarily and graded by the NRA depending on how pro-gun they are?

Additionally, how do you feel about Trump's legislation which makes it easier for mentally ill people to acquire guns?

While personally I believe that there should be a right to reasonable self defense with a pistol, I do not agree with America's "need" of rifles, unless said weapon is used in hunting, is limited in rate of fire, and magazine capacity. Additionally, I think that guns should require extensive training to use. To acquire a driver's license you must pass a test, and I think that a similar principle should apply for guns. While there is always an argument made that guns would still be acquired illegally it would still largely reduce the amount of mass shootings. Additionally, mental health should be reviewed regularly of anyone who (obviously legally) owns a gun. Background checks would also be employed. As Americans we obviously refuse to observe and adopt methods used by other countries, but I believe that a model similar to Canada's gun law system would be ideal.

What would you need a gun for besides hunting and self defense? While competitive and recreational shooting exists, I still largely disagree with continued legislative slack, especially when it becomes obvious that Americans collectively cannot take responsibility for what guns can cause, and societal issues which further can incite such cause.

The problem with the topic of guns in the USA is that there is not a lot of things the USA government can do about removing the spread of guns logistically as well as that, considering how big the Weapon industry is in the USA, seriously cutting sales to it will cause much more social problems than any mass shooters can do.

As for Trump's revoking a bill made by Obama, how many of the mass shooters in recent years fell into the categories described by the original bill (and bought their own guns)?

I think the mass shootings are a product of serious cultural issues.

[ How to solve Mass Shootings in America 101 ]

(1) INVESTIGATE PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS like Prozac and Xanax that have time and time again influenced the killers of these mass shootings.

(2) CLAMP DOWN ON ILLEGAL WEAPON SMUGGLING. This is the main cause of Firearm related deaths in America: Illegal weapons trafficking and Gang warfare .

Prosecute and imprison illegal weapon traffickers both out government and in government (like Commiefornia (Dem) Weyland Yee).

Make acquiring legal weapons easier, increase the amount of shooting ranges both privately and publicly, and Run LARGE Information campaigns on Weapon Awareness and Firearm Safety , as to inform the general populace on the #1 rule of Firearm ownership: SAFTEY!

This one in particular would help more Americans become informed on Firearms and would increase the intelligence of debate.

(3) CUT BACK THE MEDIA COVERAGE:

DO NOT report on the murderer as some sort of anti hero by describing themselves, their equipment, their killcount, or the aftermath of their devastation, as this will inspire more killers to top the previous for media coverage.

DO NOT sensationalise their killings; no opening with sirens, no killcount reported, no graphic description of events, no message or skewed biases. Only the objective facts , and the motive, abet vaguely but not "lie-by-omission" vague.

(4) FOCUS ON THE VICTIMS of the murderer, and the harm and damage brought to them. Focus on the people killed, and who they were and what they did.

Provide ways for activists and good Samaritans to send aid and support for the victims of the killer . Enshrine heroes to attempted to stop the murderer and save lives.

(5) DO NOT MAKE IT ANTI-GUN. The United States Second Amendment is there to stay , so radical proposals like banning all firearms are just politicising tragedy and should be treated as white noise.

The DEBATE should be on the ability of acquiring firearms, and whether or not the buyer is informed on Firearm Safety , or whether the weapon has been illegally acquired and kept track of by a Firearms Store or Shooting Range.

(6) [ Subjective but important ]

STOP RAISING A GENERATION OF FABERGE EGGS!

Promote a culture where Mothers and Fathers are important.

Do not promote an environment for Single-Motherhood to thrive, as it has been well documented that Single-Motherhood has a HIGH correlation to crime and sociopathic tendencies (Hitler & Stalin were raised by Single-Mothers).

Stop treating kids like every one of them is a special snowflake that deserves a participation trophy; allow them to fail, and punish them for bad behaviour (this includes Spanking, although some of you may disagree).

Make themselves create an iron clad thick skin that will prevent them from being taken advantage of, and will allow them to wash off offensive words and names like it's nothing.

(7) CLAMP DOWN ON EXTREMIST IDEOLOGIES that have a high correlation of violence. This is primarily Islamic Fundementalism/Islamofascism , the Alt-Left ( ANTIFA ), Communists/Anarcho-Communists , Atheism Plus , and Racialists like BLM , & the KKK (If they even exist anymore? They're outdated)

(8) Spread this message so we can make some change for once, instead of wallowing about how America is full of shootings and waiting for the next one.

Also so these damn Attacks can get out of my newsfeed.

While I can understand your sources of the other points, I do not see the correlation of single mothers to their children being inherently sociopathic and criminal. The most important part of statistics is never confusing coincidence with correlation. There is also the possibility that it was an abusive household, regardless of whether the mother was single, dead, or was joined by a partner. I find it hard to believe that having a mother and father rather than just two parents would do to assist it. While there are many heterosexual parents, of course, adoption is still a viable source for others to become parents. Additionally, people only become sociopathic or criminal when they feel that it is the most effective way to achieve their goals, Whether it is stealing to survive or a more violent ideal.

Correlation doesn't equal causation, especially not in this case. I used to regularly take Xanax and basically all it does is help me cope with heavy stress. It's pretty easy to see how that would help a shooter carry out their deed, but that doesn't mean the drug itself is responsible. I've never taken prozac but I imagine the exact same principle still applies.

This one in particular would help more Americans become informed on Firearms and would increase the intelligence of debate.

Actually, most gun-related deaths are suicides or accidents. Homicides are still a huge chunk of gun-related deaths, but the majority of those are committed with guns that were (at least initially) legally obtained. You could still technically say the majority of shootings happen with illegally obtained weapons and not technically be wrong, but for the most part those are illegally obtained because they were """borrowed""" from somebody who legally owns them.

The information about each tragedy should be readily available so you could look back at the causes and what preventative measures could've been taken. This might seem effective but only because these tragedies popping up in the media only ends with people bickering about shitty solutions until the situation's been forgotten. Nothing actually gets done when it really should. That's not the fault of media coverage, that's the fault of lawmakers and constituents.

Sorry but I'm gonna have to call bullshit on this one, about your comment on politicizing tragedy.

Ever since Sandy Hook I've seen this same argument brought up, and I've said essentially the same thing every time.

It's a fucking tragedy, it deserves to be politicized.

If you don't politicize it, nothing gets done about it. This is exactly the reason why we're at a constant stalemate while gun violence is still running rampant. You can have one side who's stubbornly pro-gun and one side that's stubbornly anti-gun, but supporting their impasse is supporting jack shit happening.

As far as your other comments I'm indifferent. I'm (mostly) pro-gun so I have really nothing to say.

Argumentum ad Hitlerum didn't take long to show up now did it?

This is pretty much basic generational fear, I've been over this before.

Also I'm glad you put the disclaimer that this is subjective because I should point out something. Physical discipline is objectively mentally unhealthy. It carries a risk of trauma., and saying "I was spanked and I turned out fine" is suvivorship bias for all intents and purposes.

It should be said that white nationalists and white supremacists make up the bulk of domestic terrorists, and I'm pretty sure they have for about a decade now. Islamic fundamentalists definitely make up a sizable chunk of terrorist attacks but the rest of those groups don't.

Worst you'll see from ANTIFA and BLM are riots, and people do get hurt (maybe even killed but I haven't been able to find anything on ANTIFA or BLM-related deaths) in those, but individual cases of politically motivated assault and violence are hate crimes, not terrorism.

Also I like how you threw in the KKK presumably to sound impartial. I'm sure you could do better than one right-wing hate group.

I used to regularly take Xanax and basically all it does is help me cope with heavy stress. It's pretty easy to see how that would help a shooter carry out their deed, but that doesn't mean the drug itself is responsible. I've never taken prozac but I imagine the exact same principle still applies.

Cherry Picking, especially when considering it ignores the officially recognised side effects of the drugs themselves.

The only source I can find for that statistic is from 2013; 4 years old. Unless you have an up to date source, I'm going to say that sort of argument needs a clarification to indicate that the argument may be out of date.

Almost all guns are obtained legally initially, (how many guns are stolen from the gun store, or directly from the manufacturer?) it's what happens after that determines legality. Though I'm not sure why you're bringing this up, as no law that can be enforced will ever change that someone can always just hand another person a firearm to use.

Some of the shooters do so just to get on TV. I agree that the information should be provided though. I see no workable way not to publicize in a way that would appeal to the shooters that desire that publicity without also harming the public knowledge.

The fact that nothing ever gets done is because as far as we can tell nothing that can be done will actually fix anything related to the problem, and most that can be done will make things much worse for the law abiding citizens of this country.

I'm going to need to see some unbiased objective proof that that is the case, because that doesn't make any logical sense.

Again, I'm going to need to see some objective unbiased proof of these claims.

It was a valid example. Why are you complaining about it?

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

-snip-

No offense but you're delusional if you think you're in any place to accuse me of cherry picking. Your entire argumentative format is picking apart my posts and ignoring the broader context. I'm intimately familiar with the effects of Xanax because I took it for my crippling anxiety. I'm intimately familiar with the effects of SSRIs because I took those for my depression. I challenge you to tell me which side effects of Xanax or Prozac would motivate a sociopath to commit a violent crime. You had no trouble searching for your own sources to my points and dismissing them for being "outdated", so you shouldn't have any trouble going out and looking for the side effects of those drugs.

And if you want objective, unbiased proof of my claims, try going outside. The real world doesn't operate based on cold hard statistics. It's completely practical. You can read about how ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter are just terrorist organizations or you can actually speak to people who support those movements. You can read that mentally ill people commit violent crimes or you can talk to the vast majority of mentally ill folks who don't. You can read that the problem with this generation is how kids are no longer being spanked or you can draw me a line between physical discipline and physical abuse. You can't handle being told you're factually wrong and showing you the facts isn't going to change that, I know from experience.
