Star Wars Episode I: Racer (for the N64)

That game was awesome, probably only thing good about Star Wars Episode I was that this game came out.

All the Mario Kart games that I played are fun too, no significant impact though. I'm not big on racing games.

"Alyxx Thorne: Batman/10"

"HLPrincess: Also, I'm very proud we have Batman Himself on the Forum."

I prefer more "arcade" style racing games, like Burnout or Need for Speed. I'm never been very good at "simulation" ones like Forza or Gran Tourismo. All I do when I try to modify cars in those games is make it worse, lol. I really liked the version of Wipeout on the PSP.

EDIT: I also had a great time with a gameboy version of Pole Position years ago, I miss having a handheld :(

The Need For Speed series has been tilting towards more simulation style lately with the Shift games. I personally think the latest Hot Pursuit game was the best so far.

Yeah, I haven't played a Need for Speed since Underground.

Lol, You can't do simulation on a console silly. You also can't do it on a gamepad. Forza and the GT series are just bad arcade racers. Not sims.

My measure of if something is a sim is can you complete a lap of a track the first time while trying to go fast? Yes, arcade.. no, crash burn spin.. sim.

Bro in rFactor. With a Shelby Cobra. In any other game this car would probably be a special unlock-able super-car that guarantees a win every race. Watch him try not to die.

My definition of a simulation style racer is an overly focus on the cars themselves, tuning them, the different statistics between each model, and an overly focus on realism in terms of driving and such. Arcade racers focus more on easy controls and trying to make it a fun experience.

Best physics in racing for me is always codemasters!

Everything can be modified, everything can brake.

Tires can blow :D

Dude, Grid is not related to Race Driver 3. It is the most arcadey game ever.

the original Hydro Thunder was one of my favorite games to sink quarters into in arcades. I really like the sequel for Xbox arcade.
