@Prohypster, Axeldeath beat me to it. China had a bad run with using lead paint in a lot of products it was shipping to the US (and probably other countries as well).

I guess I've been lucky. My old laptop (it's from 2006) still works like a charm. No problems whatsoever.

 

I don't use it much anymore though. My gaming desktop and the iPad are more than enough.

Anyone here play Yu-Gi-Oh? I've been reconsidering getting back into the game, but these young whipper-snappers and their Synchro Summons and their Forbidden Card lists and their radios and their computation stations may make me look a little old hat. Although the un-banning of what was thought to be one of the most over-powered cards in the game (Which I happen to own) certainly appeals to me.

ProHypster and I were talking about how we never chat all together at once, either on STEAM or here at the IRC Channel. Just so we all are on the same page, I'm using this page http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ as reference.

 

Since I work monday to friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, those hours are lost to me, except when I'm being lazy, like I am right now Weekends are best for me, 18:00 GMT sounds ok, but since it's the weekend I have no problem with other hours.

 

What do you think? I know we have members all over the world, is anyone interested in organizing a concerted meeting? Or should we just post that we are in the IRC, waiting to talk to anyone?

A simple "If you are going to IRC then you should come at this time banner" for all days or two seperate timelines for weekends and weekdays. Should be pretty effectful actually. However this can only work with some kind of commercial or signature or something to make all people on the forum aware of this.

 

However I believe in any case a weekday time date should also be anounced, it doesn't matter how many people come, it's just important to let people know when the most traffic will be, this should automatically boost traffic as people don't go to IRC primarily because of the lack of organization and predictions that there isn't going to be anyone there anyway since nobody wants to waste time there.

 

Also, I understand now JC that even the far west of south america is eastern to the far east of north america.

And I accidentlly added 4 hours from 18:00 not took them away.

To go back on the organized IRC thingamajiga:

I want to game with all of you guys again. All we had so far are a few TF2 events. I think we totally should do it again(although something like teamspeak and more active mic usage would be nice). And maybe we could play some other games(F2P games of course). Just throwing some ideas out there to see what sticks ^^

My TF2 server is still up and running if people want to play on it. Trouble is, since registering the server with Valve (part of the thing that allows gifts to drop and the server to get chosen in match making), it's been full LOADS.

 

I literally might have to turn it off so friends can actually play on it.
