Anyway, in regards to the posting limitations, I can't see that having a good impact on forum activity. They would definitely make me less active just because I wouldn't want to deal with them :-\ Especially since I mostly post in the forum games, where posting frequently is something to be expected of any forum with a sub-topic devoted to those threads. I think the slower activity may be partially due to the time of year; even though it's winter and many stay inside to stay warm, I have a feeling a lot of members are busy with family activities (tis the Holiday Clusterfuck, after all).

 

As someone who's been with forums from the start to the end, I can say things aren't looking bad enough here to claim the sky is falling.

I agree. I mean, it's Thanksgiving now and soon we have Christmas and new year celebrations. It's to be expected that the activity goes down a bity.

Yay Christmas! Among my favorite holidays of the year!

 

The tradition in our family is basically a secret Santa dealie. The family being two parents, three siblings and I, all write our names, put them in a hat, shake the hat and then draw out one name (that can't be our own). Then with that name selected (no trading, no re-draws) we keep it a secret as to who we're buying presents for, and it remains a surprise until Christmas morning.

This year I got my oldest brother, so I'm thinking I'll conspire with his girlfriend to figure out the best thing to get for him.

I just buy a present for everyone in mah family + friends, it's why I'm working 8-12 hours a day until the end of January (got a load of birthdays around that time as well). BTW can anyone tell me if you should put a space after a bracket? e.g. ( example1 ) or (example2), because I can't, for the life of me, remember >
