Is the forums 100% okay now? I'd love to be active once more. And I noticed that the 'show new posts' etc. links is still missing, what a bummer.

They seem to be working better now... at least I hope it stays that way.

I got it twice in the last 20 seconds. Every board is like a russian roulette only, you know, with less danger.

No, he's a Mod, it's the board's prioritizing methods... Mods, and Admins get 100% guaranteed connection at all costs. The settings for the number of users connected at once is probly set way too low, like 20 or so...

Oh, it's easy enough to see it. Log out, THEN try browsing the forums for a while.

The worst part is that I WANT to browse these forums and be active but they are not letting me. It's really ruining my experience as a user.

What is it that happens exactly, do pages refuse to load or do you get some sort of error message? The site seemed to be a little slow last night for me with some pages not loading.

 

It's a shame, but some teething problems are to be expected with new forums and so on.

 

I expect (and hope) that they'll all be ironed out in the end.

I'll get a screenshot next time I get the error, then you can see it in it's entirety. So far it only happens when there are 10 or more people (guests and hidden included) browsing the forums.

It doesn't seem to affect the mods or admins, only regular users. Basically it's an error message saying that the forums are unavailable temporarily.

My bet? Low bandwith or whatever, so that if too many people connect at once ("too many" apparently being more than 5 or something in this case) it gives the error.

Of course, I do not actually know how these devil machines work so I'm just assuming.

 

At least 80% of the time I try to use the forums I get the error. Whenever I try to open a forum, a thread, a new page or post a reply it's like playing russian roulette with only one empty chamber. It's quite frustrating.

 

FAKE EDIT: Hey, I pressed "submit" and got the error again! Nice.

x2: Make that seven God damned times in a row. Screw it, someone send me a memo when they fix it.
