Why would the Combine names be on the + side? I thought the rebels were the good guys.

They are... or are they? Maybe the rebels turn out not to be such nice guys.

Yeah, fighting the invaders is such a bad thing to do.

I know right, i thought when you have guests on your home planet you are supposed to treat them nicely.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Especially when the guests assume control of it.

ESPECIALLY then. You wouldn't want to be on their "list".

Aren't you afraid we'll get flooded by junk posts, just to inflate the count?

I think the grading system being discussed in another thread is the best option, and is not incompatible with custom titles.

I agree, you should be ranked on quality of your posts, not quantity.

perhaps a system where you need both rep and posts to achieve a certain rank

like

Expendable - negative rep

npc_citizen - 0 to 50 posts & 0 to 5 rep

Bona Fide Regular - 50 to 100 posts & 5 to 10 rep

Serial Poster - 100 to 150 posts & 10 to 15 rep

Civil Protection - if your a mod

Gorden Freeman - Ross Scott

etc, they should just be somewhat witty and should be relevant.

I was thinking something along the lines of user-customized titles so I can finally be KING OF VAGINEERS.

Wait, do I want to know the answer?

I do

I like this too. But what about if the negative rep titles are Combine/Alien-related, and the positive reps are Resistance titles, like:

-51-75: Zombie

-25-50: Headcrab

-10-24: Manhack

-0-9: City Scanner

10-25: Citizen

26-45: Rebel

46-70: *can't think of anymore*

-or something of that sort. This is getting better with all of our suggestions

I Just think that the banner shouldn't only be hl2 related; It should be more related to Ross Scott's humor ranging from witty, scientific, and somewhat immature but in a good way.

That's a better idea actually. I guess we tend to forget this forum is not about Half-Life but about Ross Scott's humor.

This idea I like more. "-0-9: City Scanner" - ha ha that's brilliant!
