Eedo Baba Posted January 23, 2012 I dont like the pistol, the scout barely carries ammo for it and getting the attention of the enemy without having the means to finish them is just dumb, and among the alternatives, i like !bonk better, crit-a-cola duration is too short and dangereous, the mad milk is more of a "team-weapon" and if you use !bonk properly you can nerf the afterburn damage to around 15. Mad Milk will save you constantly if you're dealing with pesky pyros. Aim at the ground and fire, and you're no longer on fire. Share this post Link to post

And thats why i use the mad milk if the other team have more than 2 pyros. But if i can either kill the pyro or get a 1.2 second window of time i can escape certain death situations (like being surrounded in close-quarter maps) and only take around 15 damage The future of gaming lies in realistic simulations of extraordinary realities "I am drunk, you dont have an excuse" Share this post Link to post
Karl Posted January 23, 2012 Mad milk may be able to save you from burning damage, but I find the pistol to be extremely useful in killing pyros. If you can get them to chase you with a well placed shotgun blast, and run away firing the pistol at em, I find it usually kills them. If not, the pistol still makes for a good weapon to pester with. Eedo Baba Posted January 23, 2012 Well, pyros are generally a great reason to opt for the shortstop, because you can stay out at medium range away from the flames. Not as much damage as the scattergun, but it has different uses like that. Share this post Link to post
Karl Posted January 23, 2012 To each their own, I suppose. I like having the scattergun and the pistol for most situations, but I'm sure the shortstop is good for certain things like that. Share this post Link to post

I think we're making the assumption that your entire team is utterly incompetent. Share this post Link to post
The Scoutman Posted January 23, 2012 Im yet to see a scout being "pocketed" by a medic. The future of gaming lies in realistic simulations of extraordinary realities "I am drunk, you dont have an excuse" Share this post Link to post
alphabetagamma Posted January 23, 2012 Im yet to see a scout being "pocketed" by a medic.Karl and I have done it a few times. It works surprisingly well actually, we've even taken out a few level 3 sentries. Share this post Link to post
Collective Foal Posted January 25, 2012 It does work well, but you become your own little combo, irrelevant to the rest of the team. I never did like the Pistol. It only works when there are too many Engies on a map. It's too inaccurate when moving around for me to pick off enemies efficiently. I prefer Mad Milk. That health back turns Heavies (except ABG) into jokes. Life is just a time trial; it's all about how many happy points you can earn in a set period of time Share this post Link to post

Karl Posted January 27, 2012 I do not approve of this new misc item they just added for the demo. Not to mention that it's $10 US dollars in the steam store. Share this post Link to post

Martin Posted January 28, 2012 I tried some competitive TF2 today with a friend and some random people. It went well-ish, heh, but it was fun! Share this post Link to post

Pinkie Pie Posted January 28, 2012 I feel so left out when people talk about all these new weapons because I've been ignoring TF2 for a couple months now, save the one day I played with Dash. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Kaweebo/ "There are no good reasons.
