No, not the show.

If there was ever a reason for anyone to make an 'I'm so happy I just want to fucking gush' thread, it's now.

Someone is remaking Metroid II - Return of Samus for the Gameboy with color, enhanced graphics, and gameplay elements introduced by later games so that it isn't stagnant. It's almost essentially a new game altogether. I love this, I can't wait for it, and if Nintendo decides to shut this down, I'm killing somebody. It's just fantastic that someone put so much loving detail into a game that is vastly underrated given the fact that it is for the original Gameboy and nobody really plays that much. (Even on emulators.)

Demo for anyone interested: http://metroid2remake.blogspot.com.br/p/am2r-demo-v11.html

Anyway, purpose of this thread is, obviously, to put your happiness into text so that we may all read it and share in utter bliss of good things to come. (Assuming you're ever happy and not angry cat, in which case I deeply apologize for your existence.)

Afaik, project's been dead for a long time.
Really? The website was updated little more than a week ago about controls. Seems like it's still going strong.

Either way, even if it is, this thread's purpose still stands. The title is mostly just a joke.
