Did a little experiment in ambient/noise. Listen here. :)

This is right up my street DeWolfeJV, I'm not surprised to find out you're a fellow midlander :D As a region we seem to have a knack for dark and disquieting music. I find the harsher spectrum of ambient that this piece exemplifies is harder to come by in experimental circles, most artists leaning towards gentler and more introspective sound manipulation or else emitting full blown walls of noise - neither of which is a bad thing by any means! It's just good to hear something that sustains a tension between "noise" and "ambience" so effectively. If you haven't already heard of them, I dare say you might enjoy the Swedish band Ulwhednar and the the American musician Daniel Menche. Both excel at composing long dread-inducing songs that hover between the extreme/mediative spectrum.

When close friends speak ill of close friends

they pass their abuse from ear to ear

in dying whispers -

even now, when prayers are no longer prayed.

What sounds like violent coughing

turns out to be laughter.

I'm really glad that you like it. Thank you for the recommendations, I shall check them out :)

I was going to make a thread about but is anyone here a fan of crust, hardcore and punk music? I will post some of my favorite bands at the bottom. I tend to make friends with either fullblown metal heads or people into pop punk and emotional hardcore, where I have always preferred the sound of something between the two extremes. These songs are memorable as anything else in the charts yet still sound extreme enough to have some real bite. They sound more angry than anything I have ever heard before or since.

Another solo jam. It's been a while since I last recorded, what with school and all. This one's a bit scrappy though, with bum notes and everything, but I was recording this while taking a short break from reviewing for a test, so I didn't much time to warm up or tweak my sound.

Anyway, here's another solo:

Welp, now what?

You have rather radical taste in music mate! :3 I remember that Axegrinder song from an old Peaceville sampler I used to play to death as a strapping young man. I tend to prefer punk-inflected offshoot genres rather than straight punk and hardcore the majority of time, I'm an old black metal goat and I'll never tire of the raw "punked-up" subset of BM and so-called War/Bestial Metal. Think of bands like Sump, Grinning Death's Head, Devil's Ding, Raspberry Bulbs, Strongblood and Galloping Shadow. Everything about it appeals to my visual and audial tastes, the bleak xeroxed imagery and archaic fonts, the soviet quality lo-fi-ness of it. It's only real downside is that due to the skulls, weapons and wolfiness in the artwork everybody assumes I'm a national socialist loser.

(^ I do believe this upload has been recorded at the wrong RPM, but in my opinion it sounds better and more akin to sludge music this way; snarling, drool-sodden, deskilled and unsociable - the way metal is meant to be)

Latest composition, recorded a little differently this time. Ignore the bad sheet music writing. Wasn't meant to be viewed this way. XD

Toying around with Harambass. (don't ask how I got the name. I remember seeing some beer bottles the time me and my buddies thought of that name for my bass)

Welp, now what?

Hello. I've set up a bandcamp account for my music here. I'd really appreciate any support. All tracks have a minimum of 0 in all currencies so no one has to buy it if they don't want it.

I'm not here to sell anything, just letting y'all know :)

Some really cool tracks here, Wolf. :D I'm not particularly familiar with Bandcamp, so I dunno if it's just me but Ark II-IV breaks on me and I can't play it. XD Maybe it's just me. Or maybe I'm missing something.

Didn't bother adjusting the image.

Ark is beautiful though, gives me so many Portal 1 vibes. XP

And Hollow... well, it's named as exactly as it sounds I think. :) Good job.

Anyone here ever get in the mood to listen to some Beethoven, Mozart, or some other classical music? Or am I the only one?

It's pretty normal to get in the mood for a certain type of music

In my case, since I like most types of music, yeah I get in to classical music moods quite often

More often than not though I prefer hawaiian music for concentration and relaxation

the name's riley

So I'm finally having a go at playing with LMMS, like, way more indepth than what I tried out before when I first got it. And it's so beautiful. ;-; I made this as a little test thing.

I'll fiddle with it more tomorrow when it's not 11pm lol.

That's pretty nifty Jeb, just remember save early save often when it comes to LMMS. It likes to crash when you least expect it to.

I'm not saying I started the fire. But I most certain poured gasoline on it.

:) Thank you, Helio! And yes, don't worry. XD I am a professional saver. I learnt that a while ago. It's like, my Graphics and Design saves folder is 2GB's big... >.> With 42 total backup saves... :P A little much? Nah.

This is another thing I'm working on though. Already uploaded that other song to SoundCloud. I'm really digging this program, really am. XD But I want to make a nice wallpaper for the songs before I chuck them up on YouTube. Would be nice to have a audio visualizer with it but I don't have anything like that. :S
