I don't see anything that would adequately describe the relationship between the two dates [that you intended to impart] in this definition.

On topic: WHY DO HALF THE CAR SHOPS IN PUEBLO HAVE THEIR ALIGNMENT MACHINES BROKEN AT THE SAME TIME?!? Do they coordinate their breakdowns to force people to inconvenient locations at nearly impossible times? Or is it maybe to try and make them spend more money on gas as they drive around town looking for a place to get an alignment? WHAT IS IT?!? (I got a front-end alignment today after 3 days of trying to get it scheduled and done)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

I thought about it for awhile, but I couldn't think of any other word.

Precedes is the antonym for proceeds.(if that's what you meant. I'm not too sure myself.) :D

(not trying to be a smartass here; only being helpful.)

Also, Rusty, yes. These places are designed to cost as much money as possible with little to no satisfying results.

I will never willingly go to another Dave & Barry's again. They have the absolute worst customer service I've ever seen outside of cell phone companies and IBM.

Got 950 tickets to buy stuff with, got 6 Nerds Rope at 145 tickets each, and went to the counter. The kid there said I didn't have enough, so I asked if it said I had 950, he said yes. I then said that I had enough for the Nerds, since they were 145 each. He said I was wrong, and after I said that that was the posted price, he again said that I was wrong. (huge no-no saying that the customer is wrong; they are always right) I went and grabbed the price label for the Nerds off the display, and handed it to him, then asked if he was going to honor the posted price or not. (if he refused, that is cause for a lawsuit over false advertising) He then took the price label (it was in a heavy plastic holder) and threw it on the ground behind the counter, but he still gave me the Nerds for the posted price.

I am a huge stickler for customer service, so I will never be returning to that establishment.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

So a while ago on a Minecraft server, I was working on Pixel art. One piece in particular, which turned out to be my greatest work. I finished it, very happy of my self, so I took a screenshot. Then, out of nowhere, the server was down, for a few days. Tonight it was back on, so of course I went on, and found out the server rolledback. At first I thought I just lost my garden, and animal farm, no big deal. Then it hit me, the creative area, so I went to check, good news only one piece was harmed. The bad news, it was my masterpiece. It was gone. For those who are curious as to what I made, here's the image:

That's extremely unprofessional. I would never go back to that store either with such horrible customer service.

There are two types of highschoolers. The kind who are polite and respectful and realize that they're surrounded by people who are almost completely different than them, and the douches who talk about shit nobody gives a damn about and act like life's a neverending frathouse party. Middle school brings out the worst in kids and high school cements that behavior into them. Honestly, I have met some pretty conceited people, but this guy takes the cake.

I have to work with the most annoying weaboo I have ever met. Whenever he's told to do work, he either complains or he ignores the instructors and watches anime on his laptop. When he's told to get back to work, he insults us! Worst of all, he never shuts up! He's always brown nosing the head instructors and making stupid jokes. He even threatened to fight me once because I called him out when he was ranting about something that had nothing to do with the task at hand. He sits around and plays with the scrap metal and tools we use to build and repair things. He's going to end up breaking a computer, and most of them are ours. If I had a laptop, I wouldn't bother bringing it with me because he'll end up breaking it.

If he keeps doing this he'll probably get kicked out, or at least moved to a different department, but honestly, I think he should get kicked out. He's supposed to be a programmer but he knows next to nothing about programming. I wouldn't expect his work ethic to change if he was moved.

TL;DR Coworker doing everything but work.

I don't like writer's block, I prefer to call it writer's parry.

Ok, wow, I thought I had annoying people in my class....

Have you talked to the teachers/principal about this? Atleast in high school they seem to actually care if you bring up something like this and will do their best to deal with the problem. Tell them that you cannot work in the same room as this person and that he is ruining it for everyone.

On the other hand this could backlash, but if he is as annoying as you say he is, go for it. (Alternatively you could just wait for him to get kicked out)

We've brought it up with the heads a few times but they want to give him a chance. I don't know the kid personally so if he has some behavioral problems, I wouldn't want to be too harsh with him if that turned out to be the case. However, the fact that he hasn't at least tried to change his attitude shows that he isn't taking this as seriously as he should. He's still studying beginner Java. (something which we finished going over in late december.) We can't just stop what we're doing and teach him how to do that stuff now, ain't nobody got time for that!

THAT'S RIGHT! FUCK NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND!

Anyways, after school on Fridays, every Friday, we have Metaphysics Club, where we bring out all our deepness and thinking and discuss it with everyone else. Everyone is cool and we all have a great time and we get some serious enlightenment out of it as well. But there are a few kids with some serious social malfunctions who treat the club like it's their vent to act like their immature, still-in-middle-school selves. I respect their situation, as I was very immature and awkward my Freshman year, but Metaphysics is not the place to be doing it.

So anyways, there is one kid in particular who treats it like it's a joke hall and we constantly have to tell him to be quiet so we can discuss the matter (he does have some interesting things to say at times, though). There's also a girl in the club who is very pretty, kind, well-carried, and seems to have a serious thing going for me. So she needed a ride home and I, seeing the opportunity, offered up immediately. I then made sure she could be home at 5 and told my mom to pick us up at 5, so I could take her out to dinner. She accepted the offer and once metaphysics let out, we started making our way to Main Street.

However, as we are exiting the parking lot, this kid (tall, scrawny, black jewfro, and glasses) comes running up and asks what we're doing. We say going to main street. Now he tells us he was supposed to go to the library, which is initially relieving, but THEN HE CALLS HIS MOTHER AND ASKS HER IF SHE CAN WAIT TO PICK HIM UP SO HE CAN HANG OUT WITH US. I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK MAN. Now I don't know if he has something going for this girl (her name is Erin), but I think it's quite obvious that you shouldn't try to tag along to a Male-Female group of two. I mean, have some respect for me, dude.

But no, he comes along, and I don't know if I was being immature about it, but I made a point of making him seem unwelcome (holding the door for her and walking through so he had to catch it, telling him I didn't have the money to buy him food as well (still can't believe he asked me to) and then making the wad of ones in my wallet quite visible, etc.) But him and Erin are friends it seems, and he keeps putting his arm around her and all this bullcrap and I'm starting to get mad. And while he may have been doing all that and it sure as hell seemed like he came just to try competing with me, I made sure to be a gentleman and hold the doors for her and buy her food and hot chocolate and all that while this kid just acts like a bumbling pile of touchy-feely derp. The way she carried herself, I think she would respect my respect rather than his behavior.

But I was the one who got her the ride home and bought her meal and treated her like a lady, so I'm almost certain I'm much higher in her opinion than the other kid. I'm just pissed that he had the balls to tag along in the first place.

Is this a bad time to mention that I just got hired for a new job today?

OT: GODDAMMIT, why does every clothing manufacturer in America assume that guys shorter than 5'9" don't exist? Gee whiz.

Because if you're shorter than 5"9 you're not a man.

If you're serious, I really want to fucking beat your goddamn face in right now. I'm sick and tired of hearing that kind of shit from people. And I hear it. A lot. I can't help the fact that I'm 5'6", and my height doesn't really affect anything about me except that I have to move the driver's seat up all the way, or similar stuff. I'm not particularly fond of having to constantly put up with the shit I get for being shorter than half the girls I know.

Sorry. I mean, this is the vent thread.

5"9 is king of the Manlets, any shorter than that and you have to be Italian to get a girlfriend.
